There's that curious grammar. Not "Florida City Police Officer Shoots Dog" (active voice) but "Dog shot by.....)

"She was curious. She wasn't barking (and) she wasn't growling," Palacios said. "There was no reason for him to think she was aggressive in any way." Was she wagging her tail? Cops consider that a sign of canine aggression

I don’t see any real difference between the two sentences.
Now if the sentence had said,” Dog killed by Glock in Florida City, that would be indicating some sort of bias, as though the Glock itself ‘decided’ to murder somebody’s pet.
SUV’s go through the same subtle blame games.

It’s her fault... After all, she DID answer the door...

At least the headline was not: “Dog Shot By Florida Man”

The dog was obviously racist so he needed to be killed. </sarcasm

He shot down on an angle at a concrete sidewalk. The lady is lucky she did not catch a ricochet.

“... the officer knocked on her door at 832 SW Seventh St. to inform her that she had left her car door open.”
It’s starts with the ‘car door open’ excuse and goes from there. Is it against the law in FL to leave your car door open at your home?

"There were a million things he could have done other that shoot her three times in the head," Palacios said. But none as fun for the cop.

**”We don’t have the luxury of hind sight,” Armenteros said. “We have to use the information that is given to us in a split second. So, the officer has to make that decision with the information that he has available.”**
So, that same rationale should apply to me (equal protection under the law) if I shoot someone in my home, or outside my home. If it is OK for police to kill to prevent a dangerous situation, it should be allowable for the public.

It seems the current police force is filled with the power mad, certainly not the type of personnel we used to get before the whining class got the admission standards changed. Today if you call the police you are in danger. Be prepared folks to protect yourself and don’t depend on the so-called, “ To Serve and Protect.”

As a kid, I grew up with GSD’s. Anyone who has experience with GSD’s knows that when there is someone at the door, it’s game on.
Consequently, it was drilled into me by my parents to NEVER open the door without the dog under firm control, mostly for liability reasons.
This owner should have had the dog under control, can’t say the officer is to blame on this one by what the short vid clip shows......would be nice if there was some sound to go with the video for some better context.

That great big, huge, cop shot that little bitty dog.
If that had been me at that door I would have just taken a step back and said woahh doggie, then done a quick draw and pulled a wienie or biscuit on the pup.
That stupid cop should not be on any police force, nor should he be allowed any where near a firearm.
Very poor risk assessment on the idiots part, hate to see his response to a legitimate threat; violent criminal on the loose in town, his response, NUKE the town from orbit, it's the only way for ME TO BE SAFE. I thought police forces training included Risk Assessment classes, seems strange to me that even as little as 30 years ago this sort of thing rarely happened. Either their getting a different type of person for cops (pussies with guns), or they are falling down seriously on their training.

Went back to watch the vid again. In the very beginning after the dog runs out the owner appears to stumble out the door, looks like she may have been attempting to control the dog and keep it from running out the door as it did but didn’t catch it in time.
