The headline is pure propaganda! Read past the headlines, always...
“Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jew. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here (to Palestine).’ According to Netanyahu, Hitler then asked: “What should I do with them?” and the mufti replied: “Burn them.”
That being said, moving hundreds of thousands of displaced European Jews into what is now Israel would have been counterproductive to German goals to dominate the Middle East. It is unlikely that Hitler ever intended to exile them to Israel.
In 1933 he was made "head of the Nazi department responsible for Jewish affairs - especially emigration, which the Nazis encouraged through violence and economic pressure... in 1941, their Jewish policy changed from emigration to extermination."[The article points out that the 1941 change of policy also coincided with the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union.]

Netanyahu says Palestinian gave Hitler idea for the Holocaust
I tried to find a timeline as to when Hitler first started to blame the Jews and found this:

Title: A new book published in Germany says the murder of six million Jews in the Second World War was due to Hitler’s belief that they “stole” victory from the country in the First World War.
By Allan Hall in Berlin 6:03PM GMT 20 Dec 2009
“In his madness Hitler was convinced that the ‘Jewish poison’ had done the same thing to his beloved Germany in 1918 what the ‘cancer poison’ had done to his beloved mother in 1907,” wrote historian and journalist Dr Joachim Riecker.
‘November 9: How World War One Led to the Holocaust’ examines the speeches both public and private of Hitler to try to solve the riddle of how a dictator could morph into the industrial-scale murderer of an entire people.
“The core of his hatred lies at the defeat of Germany in WW1,” said Mr Riecker, “where Hitler blamed the Jews for defeat of the country, the collapse of the monarchy and the ruination of millions”.
Dr Riecker discounts previously held theories that Hitler began hating the Jews because a Jewish doctor called Eduard Bloch unsuccessfully treated his mother Klara.
He added: “Adolf Hitler loved only two things in his life: his mother and the ‘German Reich’.
His mother died in 1907 very painfully from breast cancer which was seen at that time as the result of blood poisoning.
“Hitler saw the state ‘poisoned’ from within. Hitler lived in Munich, where Jews played a leading role in the revolution against the monarchy on Nov. 9th 1918. So suddenly the delusion came to his mind, that the Jews where the reason for the ‘inner poisoning’ of Germany and that they had stolen the victory from Germany,” Mr Riecker said.

Now find out when Hitler met the Mufti.
However, the real mastermind is Satan. Why give credit to humans? Satan hates us all but hates the Jews the most. People who don’t realize this are dangerous.
The NAZI killing machine was already under way by 1941.
Another example of headlies.
You're trying to split a hair, Laz. Netanyahu's point is that until the Mufti suggested "burning them", Hitler just wanted to escort the nice Jewish people out of Europe.

I recently finished reading Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin by Timothy Snyder. It’s common knowledge that eliminating the Jews of Europe was Hitlers intention all along. However, his solution early on was expropriation of Jewish property, intimidation, and emigration. Madagascar was one option discussed; Poland and the Soviet Union were also mentioned. Because Hitler’s war aims, with regard to the Soviet Union and Great Britain, were not realized early on, killing all of the Jews became an explicit policy as of late 1941. The book doesn’t say anything about the Grand Mufti being the impetus for the decision to exterminate them, however, knowing the history between the Mufti and Hitler, I wouldn’t discount this being the case, especially since Netanyahu said that it was so.
...on Wednesday he claimed that the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, was the one who planted the idea of the extermination of European Jewry in Adolf Hitler's mind. The Nazi ruler, Netanyahu said, had no intention of killing the Jews, but only to expel them.Arafat's uncle?
In October, 1941 Gen. Wavell, commander of the British Middle Eastern forces, offered a $100,000 (25,000 pounds) reward for the capture of the ex-Mufti, dead or alive. This offer has not been withdrawn and therefore it still stands. Nevertheless, the British Government allies itself with the ex-Mufti and the Arab Higher Committee which he heads, and follows him on everything that concerns Palestine. In August, 1945, Yugoslavia asked that the ex-Mufti be placed on the official list of war criminals. What is the reason for the failure to bring him to trial in Germany, where he was captured when Germany collapsed? If the State Dept. is not subservient to this war criminal, why does it keep back documents it is bound to publish? Officials of the State Dept. who conceal documents that would be useful at present during the trials of war criminals are guilty of shielding the criminal and become fellow culprits. What, can be the facts that the friends of the ex-Mufti in the State Dept. should find It necessary to add the information to the unpublished archives, instead of releasing it without delay, as I promised by Dean Acheson over 17 months ago? This protected person is a fugitive from justice, and has been since 1937, being under a still valid warrant of arrest of the Palestine government for the assassination of Jews, Arabs, and British, including Galilee Commissioner Andrews. Since then he has lost his Muftiship, to which he was never elected by the Arabs, but merely appointed, ignoramus that he is (he never finished a single course in the Cairo Theological University and was expelled) through the intrigue of Gen. Storrs, later of evil Cyprus fame.
