That is your assertion. Would you please explain WHY reminding everyone that Bush had been president for eight months when 911 occurred and that it is a high-wire, outrageous, and potentially offensive, high-risk comment, when Bush was getting warnings about terrorism?
Rick Rescorle, who lost his life in the attack, had already sounded the alarm about an attack by planes on the trade center.
I guess he could have tweeted W's own words…

I gasped when Jeb said that. That doesn’t mean I blame W for 9/11 but Jeb was making a ridiculous statement there. Trump is calling Jeb out for it. Don’t be a stooge for the media and fall for the twisted “Trump blames 9/11 on W” version. That’s NOT what Trump said.

The man had some brilliant moments...he also had boner moments.

I like Trump and plan on voting for him (so far) but I don’t like this remark.
I saw it coming. Anyone paying attention saw it coming. As a matter of fact, in the mid 1990’s I was driving my son to look at a college. We came within site of the NYC skyline. I pointed out to him the Twin Towers. I said, “you see those two building?........the A-rabs tried to drop them. They set off explosives underneath them hoping they would collapse. It didn’t work. But they’ll try again and get it right.” Yip. That’s what I said to my son.
Actually, yes he did. IIRC the “Secure Fence Act” vote came about as an attempt to assuage conservatives and lessen the butt kicking the GOP got in 2006 after Bush alienated his base by pushing for Amnesty very hard in 2005 and 2006. Remember W’s “see you at the signing” remark? I do. Bush and the GOP-E never planned to build that fence and as you may have noticed, it never got built.
The Bush family is in bed with the Saudis.

I agree Aria, I don’t like the remark either. I think it’s tacky but some seem to really be going crazy about it. Of course that’s what the media wants.

You are probably right, but it is mostly Cruz supporters who never fail to vomit vitriol against Trump in support of the liberal media (who hated Bush) who try to twist whatever Trump says.
Bush was in Florida reading a story to some elementary students when he was notified about 911. Does that not picture a person completely in charge of reality?
