Well, let’s consider what will happen if Trump gets the GOP nomination and Hillary gets the Democrat nomination. What do you think Trump will be saying then? Will he be blaming Bush for 9/11 or will he be blaming Hillary’s husband for 9/11?
I think that it is obvious what Trump is doing. Right now, he’s running against a Bush and right now he wants to push his opponent’s emotional buttons. GWB just happens to be his opponent’s brother.
But, none of it means anything.
If and when the opportunity comes to debate Hillary I would hope Trump would point out that Billy Jeff had the opportunity to take out Bin Laden and thereby potentially have avoided 9 / 11 . We shall see
Bush’s response to 9-11 was immediate, decisive, and forceful. He sent the “diaper-heads” running for their caves. He showed that these bloody killers would turn and run if faced with determined force. There were no more 9-11’s after that and we WERE safer, becasue the enemy was confused and didn’t know what he was dealing with. (The enemy thought he were still dealing with milquetoast Clinton-type leadership).
You confusing Bush’s effective response to 9-11 with his subsequent failure to stay on this right course of action.

His response was pathetic and I said so at the time. I won’t give him a pass just because he’s a Republican.
No, I mean we were in Afghanistan in force before they knew what happened. It was EXACTLY the right response.
It’s not about giving him a pass, it’s looking at the facts without prejudice, Bush’s politics and the other B.S. notwithstanding.

If W had focused on Afghanistan instead of getting sidetracked into the Iraq debacle, you might have a stronger point. But W fumbled the ball. And I really hate that I’m anywhere near the side of that scumbag Trump on anything.
Of course, that’s what I’ve been saying all along.
I CREDIT W for the initial swift response. It did A LOT to prevent a repeat performance.
But after that initial invasion, W blew it big time IMO.
