Instead of naming the enemy and fighting him, Bush punished Americans for our Freedom and created the tools to destroy America, and then basically handed over those tools to one of his fellow muzzie-lovers who was more than happy to go ahead and do it.
This is why a bush will never be elected to the White House again - not while there's still some semblence of a democratic electoral process.

-The World Trade Center was openly first attacked on POTUS, Bill Clinton’s watch. Later during the same Bill Clinton watch, the USS Cole was attacked openly in a Yemen harbor while refueling!!! Causes....lack of political attention and poor intelligence....Clinton at Fault!!!
- During POTUS, GW Bush’s watch, we witnessed the first devastating open attack on the World Trade Center!!! Bush was elected in November, 2000. the attack occurred on September 11, 2001, almost one year from the date Bush was elected POTUS. Cause: failure to maintain effective intelligence and input from the day Bush was elected...POTUS asleep at the wheel!!! Donald Trump is right on the money!!!
- POTUS Obama has had one terrorist attack after the other, way too numerous to list here. Bottom line, Obama has willingly caused the drop off in intelligence gathering and military use to defend and respond to foreign & domestic attacks on our military and general population. Agree. If this goes on I expect to hear Trump say
1. We live in an ever dangerous world where the possibility of another 9/11 or worse attack exists
2. I didn’t imply that he caused 9/11, just stated the fact it occurred on his watch .
3. I give him credit for keeping us safe during his presidency, but from what I saw prior to his term, and now after his term I am concerned for our safety.
4. As president I will do everything I can to protect the USA first and foremost starting with getting rid of the dangerous deal with Iran

Bush introduced the police state and the Citizens lost a big chunk of freedom and liberty (Snowden proved it).
0bama exponentially expanded the programs and now uses those tools against the Citizens.

In my younger years I voted for the outsider du jour and no one I voted for ever was elected. I voted for Reagan on his second election and have followed politics ever since voting for the most conservative /viable candidate (I did not vote for Perot who reminds me of Trump).
A lot of folks on FR see things as either all black or all white and no shades of grey. But reality isn’t like that and neither are people.
Bush was generally problematic both domestically and abroad for me and many. He was prone to political correctness, didn’t put bin Laden away when he could have, took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan, and went on his ill-advised adventure in Iraq. But 9-11 wasn’t because of Bush, it was becasue of Clinton.
Among other things, Bush inherited an intelligence mess from Clinton who deliberately separated information and communication between the CIA and the FBI. Bush did exactly the right thing in response to 9-11 and didn’t flinch like the Left ALWAYS does. Bush immediately went after the bad guys in Afghanistan. He surprised the enemy who didn’t realize Bush was not like the feckless Clinton, set them back on their heels and deep into their caves.
In his response to 9-11, he STARTED OUT right. He just didn’t stay the course.
“The United States is a nation dedicated to religious tolerance and freedom, and President Bush has acted to ensure that the world’s Muslims know that America appreciates and celebrates the traditions of Islam.”
And our “tolerance and freedom” are going to get us all killed, or at least have to suffer a war against Islam on our shores in this century. Someone posted yesterday the fact that a number of other countries around the world, have recognized the threat that Islam is to their wellbeing and are taking steps to force the muslims to leave their countries. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of mush-heads here that think Muslims are good people. They aren’t, and the sooner we recognize that fact and take definitive action to remove them, the sooner we will all be a whole lot safer.
You are ignorant or misrepresenting the situation. President Bush didn’t “allow” the terrorists to come in: they entered the country on valid visas.
What would you do? Would you stop everyone from entering the United States of America?

I understand what you are saying in that perspective, and in that context you are absolutely right. President Bush acknowledged it was his fault, and we both can agree that it did happen on his watch.
But after 9/11, President Bush certainly did take action and he *did* keep us safe; more so than, I believe, President Clinton or President Carter would have. At least he went to work early, attended intelligence briefings and unlike those in the current administration he didn’t spend an inordinate amount of time on the golf course and vacations. Syria disclosed its biological weapons program as a result of President Bush, for example.
I do not intend to vote for Governor Jeb Bush for the office of President. However, saying that he lied is probably a little unfair.
See the truth is neither fair or unfair it is one thing only the truth.
Bush was POTUS, the man in charge the big cheese etc. On hisis watch nearly 3000 Americans died on American soil at the hands of foreign enemies of the state. So saying he kept America safe on his watch is not truth. And when you are not telling truth then you are lying, whether by ignorance or deliberate action it still does not change that fact that the statement is a lie.
That is not responsive. You stated your revisionist history comments had “always” been your views, and clearly they were not as those posts demonstrate - and weren’t until Trump made these outrageous remarks - and he’s your guy, so you march right in step like a member of the personality cult that is the Trump campaign - remarkably similar to the Obama campaign and trying to reason with his supporters in 2008.

All of America depended on foreign oil too. That was a difficult situation to do anything else but soft pedal the trouble in. Trump would be more in character to say something blustery to SA, true.
