STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — State officials have confirmed that a monument to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. will be built “above and beyond” the monument that celebrate the heroes of the Confederacy on the gigantic rock at Stone Mountain Park.

According the Associated Press and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has signed off on the project. Park officials said that an elevated tower — featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell — would celebrate the single line in the civil rights martyr’s 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech that makes reference to the 825-foot-tall hunk of granite: “Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.”

Is MLK the only Black guy in American history? Why is his birthday a Federal Holiday but Washington’s isn’t?

What did Martin Luther King invent? What did he build. What business did he found? What did he explore or discover? How many people did he employ? Whose life (or lives) did he save?

Before the project can commence, park officials need to procure the permission of Martin Luther King’s heirs since the timeless speech is copyrighted.

Well, that pretty much guarantees it will never be built...

Inter-family fighting, greasy grubby hands outstretched for a monetary cut of the "rights", artistic "creative" differences, multiple lawsuits and countersuits.

The State of Georgia have no idea the can of worms they opened up...

If they want to celebrate a black man, what about George Washington Carver, or Booker T Washington.

Like every street, school and park named after MLK Jr, it will become a no-go zone of crime and drugs.

He was a plagiarist, an instigator of riots, a whoremonger, an adulterer, and a liar.

Attributes of a Democrat presidential candidate or previous president................

It’s all part of the plan to all but erase the white man from the history books, and keep him marginalized from here on in.

Getting rid of the Confederate Battle Flag was an important step to eliminating any knowledge of the Southern heritage and the honor that culture represents.

Most employers by law have to populate their offices with women, blacks, browns, homosexuals, and various ‘disadvantaged’ before considering the straight white male. One only has to open their eyes when going about their daily lives to see this is true.

Several cities have officially thrown out Columbus Day in favor of ‘Indigenous People’s Day’. Schools don’t teach classic literature anymore, and the list goes on and on.

Observe how the white male is portrayed on television and commercials these days. The black and brown male and female are shown as intelligent, calm, cool, and collected, while the white guy is a sloppy, dumb @$$, with always a disheveled look.

All part of the plan, and the white guilt crowd is more than happy to accomodate.

No, Reagan has no connection with Georgia. Let's go with an important Georgia governor from the Civil Rights era, a Democrat. Not Jimmy Carter, he's still alive. Let's put up a big statue of Lester Maddox.

The red-blooded American, however, may not be so sheepish, if you get my meaning.

They are still arguing over whether to sell their father’s Bible and Nobel prize for yet more cash money.

Reagan had as much to do with Georgia as did Robert E. Lee who is on the mountain.. Unless you are over 55 years old nobody in Georgia knows who Lester Maddox was.. so I’m staying with the Reagan statue right behind MLK’s headstone.. who is with me HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.. LOL...

If they go though with it, I suspect there will be a huge dropoff in the number of people going to Stone Mountain.

“If they go though with it, I suspect there will be a huge dropoff in the number of people going to Stone Mountain.”

That is the entire point as they believe that people that want to honor the CSA, would not want to also honor MLK.
