Please keep your replies to a minimum and include the movie or TV show or real life news.

I'll start off with in no certain order;

Handfights: A toss up but lean towards "Fight Club".
Gunfights: "Open Range"
Car chases: "Fast & Furious" franchise.

Bullit, French Connection, The Seven Ups.
Three of the best. To Live and Die in L.A. has a pretty intense car chase, too.

"...Heat."

Yes, a very realistic shootout in the streets of Los Angeles. Well choreographed and well shot and well directed. Also, IIRC, the first time Deniro and Pacino were in the same movie. Not sure of the director, but it looked like a Scorsese film.

I’m a fan of multi-modal chases, so “The French Connection” where Gene Hackman has to chase the guy on the train is one of the best of all time, and of course “The Blues Brothers”.

But still, no car chase scene can top Popeye Doyle in a brown 71 LeMans!

“Bullit, French Connection, The Seven Ups.

All 3 done by the same production company and same stunt driver, the legendary Bill Hickman. The man was incredible with what he could do with a car.

Gun fight: Wild Bunch or Extreme Prejudice (it’s essentially the same gun fight)

Car chase: (truck chases....same same) Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Wow! A lot of great choices here, but here are mine:

Fist Fight: Gonna go with “The Quiet Man.” The Duke was just toying with “that great oaf” until it was time to go home for dinner.

Gun Fight: Absolutely “Open Range.” Best gunfight ever put on film. It goes through phrases, like a sword fight. Each one is excellent, all together they are epic. “Heat” is almost as good, I will admit. But my second place choice would be going way back to Roger’s Rangers raiding the Abenaki village in “Northwest Passage.” Amazing camera work for the late 1930’s. And appears to have been shot in nearly real-time, starting from just before dawn to mid-morning. Truly deserves the term “classic.”

Car Chase: Think I have only ever watched part of one of the F&F movies, and was underwhelmed. Being old-school, I would go with “Bullit”, although “Ronin” is very good.

Handfight: The boxing scene between George Kennedy and Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke.

Gunfight: The final showdown in The Wild Bunch. Give ‘em Hell, Pike!

Car Chase: Someone already mentioned the Seven-Ups and Road Warrior, so...I’ll go with any of the showdowns in the Roger Corman flick Death Race 2000. A little silly, but lots of fun.
