It is my opinion that the McCarthy comments were deliberately made to sabotage the committee and conservatives in general, as well as to energize Dems.

On a side note, you should see the 'Benghazi rant' by Louie Gohmert during the Planned Parenthood hearing yesterday. WOW it was good. He b*tch-slapped 0dingo/Hillary HARD!!!
I see the whole thing as malice. Nobody ever intended for the Benghazi committee to have any results other than making people stop grousing for an investigation.
Hillary is going “scorched earth” on her defense to stay out of court.
Her punishment should take that into consideration.

Boehner’s last act of defiance against conservatives semi backfired on him he figured if it took off he was covered but if it didn't all he had to do was pull the vote out of reach Ryan is a RINO he knows it Boehner is a RINO and so is Mccarthy Ryan don't want the responsibility he knows the position is as it sits now is a fall guy position
No one in office wants to be the fall guy for the republicans because they have lost their Constitutional way don't get me wrong their are some who are still on track but its getting harder and harder for them to stand and be counted

Exactly. The irony here is that Boehner appointed Gowdy to be the designated `conservative cockblocker’, and expected he would turn in a creditable performance, then close things down after pushing things along 4-ever, just like every other hard-nosed GOP-e investigation that has come and gone.
But Gowdy seems to have actually found some things that can’t be swept under the rug and has finally decided to actually do something about them, so Boehner, McCarthy and the other usual RINO/CINO suspects:
“Oh dear! We got us a rogue RINO, we’d better put the kibosh on this operation. OK, Mac, here’s (hic) what I want you to do, this is what she wants ... wiping away alky tears .. leak to our MSM *hic* friends .... “
