Dude. I posted the link where you could go look up the price yourself. Again, the July 1978 issue lists 4116 D ram at $27.50 each, from Quest Electronics.

$27.50 X 8 chips = $220.00. If you paid more, you got ripped off.

And you don’t know how to read before you foment. I mentioned Moore’s Law. And 1977. And prices dropping by half within 18 months. And better gold-capped chips of higher quality. No ripping off when buying quality, instead of junk. You’re pulling crap from your ass again.

Roadcat is right, and you are wrong, as usual Diogenes. Here's a database of the historical prices of RAM from 1957 to 2015, where you can see exactly the US pricing of RAM in any particular year.
