A California woman, who spoke to FoxNews.com but asked not to be identified, said she was shopping with her 12-year-old daughter and the girl’s younger friend when her daughter told her what had happened moments earlier at an REI sporting goods store during a shopping trip in late August.
“We started to drive to another store and she said to me, ‘Mom, I need to tell you something,’” said the woman. “I asked her what was wrong and she told me ‘A man used the bathroom while we were in there and it scared me.’”
When the mother turned the car around and went back to the store to confront the manager of the Santa Rosa store, she said she was stunned to learn that the man, who she said was not dressed in women’s clothes and did not appear outwardly to be transgender, had done nothing wrong in the eyes of the employees and other customers.
“I spoke with the manager and told her what happened,” the mother said. “She didn’t skip a beat. She told me that REI does not decide who people are or what they can do.”
The exchange didn’t stop there, according to the woman, who said the unidentified store manager lectured her in front of customers before ordering her to leave.

In a case like that I would also use some extremely offensive language.
Any disapproval would be met with a “So what! You’re not here to judge me, -itch”.
What did the mother expect honestly. California is a lib rat hole and they stand behind rights for all but just regular traditional folks in my opinion. I just recently moved from Northern California.
Bruce and other weirdos like him will probably never lop off their “wee wees”. They have a mental illness where they are sexually excited by seeing themselves as women, and then need to get off. In essence, they are having sex with themselves. Chopping it off isn’t part of the plan.
I really don't see what there is to grapple with.
If you have a penis, use the men's room. No penis, use the women's. Don't like the rules? Hold it, or go before you leave home.
If you happen have both, well, we'll take that one in a million on a case-by-case basis. It's rare enough so that we'll be able to sympathetically figure something out without turning the entirety of society on its head.
Really, I don't understand why society is allowing itself to be held hostage by the whims of a handful of mentally disturbed individuals. But then, I'm a sensible conservative.

and walks in to “not be judged”.
My house has 3 1/2 bathrooms and both men and women use them. One is no different then the others. People of either gender go in there, do their business, and get out.
Now with regard to public bathrooms, I've been in "men's" bathrooms hundreds of times. No. Thousands of times. Guess what? There's nothing to see in there. A bunch of urinals, a small line of stalls and a line of sinks. That's it. Never once have I seen another man's "package." Now it sometimes stinks in there but I imagine there are some unpleasant smells over on the women's side as well.
Now the women's public bathrooms really confounds me. Always a line. Why the line? More than once, at a concert or sporting event, and more recently the county fair, I've had to take my wife or girlfriend into the men's room because the line is way too long at the women's side and she could not hold it in any longer.
Come to find out, there's nothing different in the women's room at all except no urinals and more stalls. And my wife tells me there's no nudity in there as well as they all go into the private stalls.
So why not dispense with the urinals altogether and just have unisex rooms with stalls. People of any gender can go in there, close their respective stall, do their business, and get the hell out.
We do that and all this nonsense about transsexuals and such goes away. They will no longer have their "special place" to go.
People are always paranoid about "sexual activity" in the bathroom if we mix up the genders. First of all, who the hell would want to engage in sexual activity in such a filthy space? Besides, I must say that in my thousands of times of going into a men's room, I've never once witnessed any homosexual activity. Not once.
Our entire society is all worked up over this public bathroom nonsense which is essentially all about answering the call of nature, which both sexes must answer to. It does seem kind of silly that we have to throw up all this redundant infrastructure in order to accommodate bodily functions.
I've read that Bruce is using this whole cross-dressing thing to get out of a manslaughter charge that he has hanging over his head. Not sure of the details - he killed a woman in a car accident, not long ago.
Anyway, it's not an original idea. Klinger tried it in M*A*S*H*, you see how that worked out.

Where to begin...first, the inevitable complaints about toilet seats being left up, followed by the complaints about wet toilet seats. And let us not forget about the fellows who are so proud of their accomplishments that they forget to flush so others can enjoy the workmanship and craftsmanship they have left behind.
An let's not forget the fairer sex who seem to be in a constant state of competition as to who can leave the nastiest things on the floor of the stall they just used.
I cleaned public restrooms during my college years at a public pool and at a restaurant. The ladies bathrooms were always orders of magnitude worse than the men's bathrooms.
Trust me...separate bathrooms are an exceptionally good idea.
