This sounds too nuts to be true but who knows.
My God, this is Gestapo crap.
Did not read the piece. If so this couple should be and will be living quite comfortably on the State of Del. and hopefully not in Del and rightfully so.Cops need to be canned also as they are a liability to the state not an asset.
Can’t find the original story - why was the house raided?
These cops wil cost the city and specifically the tax payers millions. The cops need to be hit financially in cases like this.
The STATE, not the city.
The same goons who kick in doors, shoot dogs, & confiscate guns, based on a swatter’s call to 911.
The department should be sued for hiring such evil people and giving them badges and guns, but the guilty officers should be hanged by the neck until dead and their states siezed.
Always an important part of the story.
It was a drug raid, but targeting the victim’s two nephews.
“The couple, Ruther and Lisa Hayes, allege in a federal lawsuit that police commanders failed to train officers in the constitutional bounds and limits concerning the use of force, especially when it came to interactions with disabled people.”
Yeah, because disabled people are worthier of constitutional rights than the rest of us...
When BLM attacks cops, THIS is why some law-abiding, middle-class people dont care.
Because the behavior, tattoos and music of cops and gangsters has become similar.
Apparently it was a drug raid on 2 of their nephews
police were looking for the couple’s nephews who had drugs
This is insane.
Tell us all about your time spent in the armed forces.
I’m shocked the Drug War isn’t friendlier.
Well quadriplegics do have the right not to stand up when ordered to by the police.
And .. where was the intel regarding the residents of the home ..???????????????????????????
If you’re going to be raiding a home .. you have to know who is in there. The fact that one of the residents was a military person should have been priority info .. seeing as how he might just normally have weapons, etc.
I’m glad to see people not afraid to call out the police when they’re out of line .. but still .. I hope, when this gets to court, that this resolves the issue of poor or non-existing intel regarding the residents.
When cops raid a home they assume the residents are scum. Their minds revert back to reptile mode and they ignore all indications to the contrary. They called it wrong and need to be prosecuted for assault.
I don’t care who disagrees with me. I’m generally on the side of the cops. They have power to arrest and deprive a person of life and liberty. If they misuse that power they have to be made to take responsibility.
