Secret Service tried to discredit US lawmaker..
The key word here is “tried”.
I think anyone could easily discredit any US lawmaker and yet the Secret Service failed.

Sorry, comment redacted to protect privacy from the corrupt Obama Government.
When was Chaffetz informed that his personal info was being compromised? The story says the Director of the Secret Service was informed on April 1. THAT WAS SIX MONTHS AGO, FOLKS. If the Director was informed April 1, the guy who sent the email should have been in his office 15 minutes later, asked for an extenuating explanation (hard to imagine one), and then been given two hours to write a letter of resignation, with summary firing to follow immediately if that wasn’t done. All employees who looked at the records should have been disciplined within a few days, with any who forwarded or leaked the info also being terminated. This should have been wrapped up in the first week in April.
So why is this a story now? Did the Obama people cover it up with no action and a whistleblower is just now coming forward? At this point, the delay needs to be explained. All those who may have participated should also be fired.
