That’s why I keep my keys out of reach.

A healthy Yorkie is never Idle. They typically zip, zap and zing like electron particles.

Must have had a bad poker game.

It’s hard to steer with no thumbs.

Looks to me more like the Yorkie knocked the truck into gear.

Bad dog!
BTW, on late model vehicles, the brake pedal has to be pressed before the gearshift will move.

That’s not fair to small dogs.
To: ConorMacNessa
Yes. If the truck was “idling,” then it must have been in neutral before the dog got into its act.

If it was a standard, they may have (foolishly) used first gear to hold the car.

I thought ever since the Audi 5000 Intended Unintended Acceleration Debacle all cars had to have the brake gearshift lock out feature.

the vehicle was considered a total loss.THAT'S a total loss? Shoot... I can't even tell you how many times my truck as been sunk over the hood, over the tops of the doors... Haul it out, drain it, dry it out for a couple days, grease it up, and be on your way....

Something doesn’t sound right. The dog pressed the brake, and shifted the transmission into drive? Maybe it was in neutral?
Anyway, I hope he likes his new Chevy Submarinado. Gets 20 knots/gallon city waterways. Pontoons optional - and recommended!

He probably was using the stupid GPS, and it told him to go into the lake.
