If my old husky (bless her soul) had opposable thumbs, she’d have been out straightening the curves and flattening the hills. She always rode with me. She’d put her nose on the key and to the ignition, key, ignition, key, ignition, hurry up! Then nose to the gear shift. Miss her terribly after all these years.

Thank you... I have no idea how/why they are going to this extreme to screw up English, unless that is their focus (not to mention the “education” is failing bigtime anymore)...

They do love to ride, don’t they. I was privileged to have a Lab in my life for fifteen years who was into “console surfing.” Pop open the sunroof, he’d stand on the console and away we’d go. Had to keep it below 50 though, much faster and his lips would start flapping in the breeze and he’d look down at me with a stern look. Fun’s fun, but he didn’t like to look silly I guess.

Scratching my head trying to figure out how you “hold” a truck whose front end is pointed toward a lake by putting it into first gear.

If the engine is running and water gets into the cylinders, you get instant scrap metal. The water stops the engine so quickly it bends connecting rods and can twist the crankshaft. $5000 truck, $6000 repair bill.

Well that looks familiar. A few mos ago the crazy illegals renting the house next door pulled their huge SUV down in the backyard and got out with the motor running. It slipped out of gear and trundled down the backyard miraculously missing a myriad of trees and ploughed right into the lake. Totally submerged. It took all day to winch it out of there.

They had a guy working trying to get it running for weeks and weeks. Mr. GG2 told him it was a lost cause. Then one night they were trying to get it to crank and the whole thing blew up into a fireball. Mr. GG2 had to run out there with a fire extinguisher to put it out before the lawn caught on fire. What a nightmare. They finally had it towed away to junkyard.
