That’s why I keep my keys out of reach.

Doggone it!
A healthy Yorkie is never Idle. They typically zip, zap and zing like electron particles.
Must have had a bad poker game.
It’s hard to steer with no thumbs.
Bad dog!
BTW, on late model vehicles, the brake pedal has to be pressed before the gearshift will move.
Where is that PetsMart?
I thought ever since the Audi 5000 Intended Unintended Acceleration Debacle all cars had to have the brake gearshift lock out feature.
THAT'S a total loss? Shoot... I can't even tell you how many times my truck as been sunk over the hood, over the tops of the doors... Haul it out, drain it, dry it out for a couple days, grease it up, and be on your way....
Something doesn’t sound right. The dog pressed the brake, and shifted the transmission into drive? Maybe it was in neutral?
Anyway, I hope he likes his new Chevy Submarinado. Gets 20 knots/gallon city waterways. Pontoons optional - and recommended!
He probably was using the stupid GPS, and it told him to go into the lake.
Did they mean, “in” gear?
Hopefully he has uninsured driver coverage.
Well that looks familiar. A few mos ago the crazy illegals renting the house next door pulled their huge SUV down in the backyard and got out with the motor running. It slipped out of gear and trundled down the backyard miraculously missing a myriad of trees and ploughed right into the lake. Totally submerged. It took all day to winch it out of there.
They had a guy working trying to get it running for weeks and weeks. Mr. GG2 told him it was a lost cause. Then one night they were trying to get it to crank and the whole thing blew up into a fireball. Mr. GG2 had to run out there with a fire extinguisher to put it out before the lawn caught on fire. What a nightmare. They finally had it towed away to junkyard.
