I don't own a Iphone. I never sent a text in my life. I have my daughters old flip phone as a hand-me-down. I can call out and answer it when it rings. When my daughters visit I tell them to turn OFF their phones so we are not interrupted when talking.

No batteries required. One can still get the news and pick out the lies between the lines. I'm hooked on Thomas Joseph crossword puzzles. I still like the Sunday paper and a dozen donuts and coffee at my daughters and read the funnies with my granddaughter.

I use my iPhone at home to check my stocks, listen to recorded books, and music, and get breaking news. I dock it into my alarm clock so I have Internet radio.

When I go out, it’s turned off, and in my purse. It’s used strictly for 911 calls or if I have to pull off the road to tell my mother I will be late because of traffic and I don’t want her to worry.

I would never use it if I’m with people unless I need to make an emergency call.

I’m not good with texts either. I do get texts from our local police dept when there are road closures so if it affects me I can plan an alternate route.,

It came in very handy during hurricanes Irene and Sandy.

What I don’t get is how to read books on a computer. I understand the technology, but isn’t it wonderful to pick up a book and hold it and read it?

I think it’s a wonderful thing one of the local shelters does.,some of the kitties are harder to adopt so you can sponsor them.,

It works like those charities that sponsor children from poor counties.
