This is my peer group:

1. Go on a few dates, drink and dance.
2. Start intimate relations.
3. Declare undying love for each other on all social media outlets.
4. Fight and break up on all social media outlets.
5. Run into each other at a club. Hook up.
6. Get pregnant.
7. Fight, but then try to work it out for a few months (for the kid).
8. Break up while engaging in angry shout-fests on social media.
9. Boy moves on. Girl raises child alone.

Takes good paying long term secure jobs, with good medical benefits to get married, have babies, get big time loans, mortgages, cars, all the medical insurance and everything which goes along with that old America life style stuff.

Nah, its Gloria Steinem's fault. /s

There’s also a lot of hesitancy by the males after a generation of seeing their parents split and the father being laden with more than his share of the responsibility. This isn’t necessarily true, but it’s an existing perception.

Why commit, just to realize you do all the work while the spouse sits at home feeling entitled to whatever, whenever without putting forth any effort. On the other hand, males can also tramp around outside of a committed relationship with little stigma or discomfort, so why go through the hard-work that is marriage?

Over 30% of Millennials shouldn't reproduce. They can't be trusted to raise hamsters, let alone children.

Of course my conservative daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren are not included in that 30%.

Wow! You’re worse off than me! LOL!
I’ll pray for you!
It is nice that the older ones can babysit the younger, but sometimes, me and my wife are just tired!

I was 45 when my youngest was born. The last three pregnancies involved a lot of time in the recliner, bellowing orders at teenagers.

More like "I Can't".

I can't do that job, for that money.

I'm special, I'm important.

Marriage is really just a sham nowadays, and it’s been that way since before “gay marriage” came along.

When marriage can be dissolved by either party for no reason, with no repercussions, it isn’t a marriage. It’s just another social arrangement at that point, and that is the way it’s been since long before the millenials were even born.

Restore marriage to an actual institution with meaning, and people might be more interested in it.

"we can be optimistic that things also run in cycles"

We can also be pessimistic and note that, long term cycles have always ended with the collapse of civilizations and terrible tumult before the next next cycle begins.

It’s my opinion that a man shouldn’t be declared the father unless he is married. No rights to the kids. And the woman no rights to his money.

I don’t like no fault divorce. I wish there would be an alternative available. Keep marriage as-is for those that want it. And bring back the old rules for fault divorce and let newlyweds decide which one they prefer.

I bet women would be more wise if they didn’t have dibs on a large check of a man’s salary for having a baby out of wedlock. And for those who are skeptical of the institution, a more strenuous process to divorce would make it more attractive for many.

It’s not just that. The feminized legal system is systematically screws over men when a few years later the woman decides she wants a divorce.

The government want's it's welfare money back, and the man is on the hook. Ability to pay is "irrelevant" according to the law. Pay or go to jail.

They have no clue. They jump in bed like it’s shaking hands. They jump in bed with people their close friends have already jumped in bed with. They get into sexual relationships without defining the terms or goals, then complain when one of them cheats, wants to get married or doesn’t want to get married, gets pregnant or doesn’t want to get pregnant, has an abortion or won’t have an abortion, or talks smack about them on social media. They don’t or won’t meet each other’s families first, or include them in their lives after they’ve hopped in bed without any commitment. They won’t go to church to find a mate, but they will go to bars and dance clubs. They are a mess.

If I were coming out of college with 20 grand in credit card debt and 80 grand in student loan debt, I would be hesitant to pay 20 grand for a wedding, buy a 200 grand house, and have kids that will cost several hundred thousand each until they are in their early 20s.
