what is BHM?
I was trying to figure out the commonality between the failures between the different ring tightenings I did and it seemed almost random. Then I accidentally noticed that the gold rings had most of the failures. I had a pile of silver rings from the jars that sealed - and just happened to notice they were all silver! It was that the older rings were gold and had some corrosion on the inside. The ball lids didn’t care. I’m not sure I’m happy with these yet - the next few weeks will be the test. I’ll can some applesauce and tomatoes first, since I can re-process those if need be without ruining the food.
