It is a crock-it has been getting cooler bit by bit around here for at least 4 years-didn’t even get to 100 here once this summer or last-now it is 86-90 during the day, with nights already in the mid 60’s.
I don’t suppose NOAA and the rest of that sky-is-falling crowd have noticed that most people are not buying more of what they’ve been peddling since the Carter days...

It has been unbelievably hot here in Ventura County, Calif. - for WEEKS.
Because my city is considered a natural ‘cool-ish in the summer’ area, many of us have no air conditioning. Especially those of us in older houses - 45 years and up.
We are 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, thus receive ocean breezes, but I can’t necessarily discern. These breezes probably do their job, tho.
Yes, business have air conditioning.
Some of us have discarded ‘underclothing’ - while at home. I guess - - - !
Believe the fan sales soared! We are using 4 - sometimes 6. Two ceiling (no - I don’t buy that ‘oooo’ (translation: ‘ugLY’) - remark when younger people spot them while house-hunting on HGTV), and assortment of other sizes - including in the bathroom! We welcome our ceiling fans.
We are given 1 or 2 days reprieve, and then temps are going back up this weekend - AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
We have been suffering - with the heat, if you’ll allow me to say, considering all the other horrible ways to suffer.

Summer only covers half the planet at a time. It’s winter in the southern hemisphere. And it’s really cold.

And I think we didn’t get above 100 degrees once this year. Where was this hottest ever taking place. Australia weather guys already said NOAA was all screwed up when they declared Australia’s weather last summer the all time hottest.
