Summer 2015 Was The Hottest In Recorded History, NOAA Finds

WASHINGTON -- The summer of 2015 was the warmest on record in 135 years, federal scientists said on Thursday.

The period from June through August this year registered “the highest” average temperature across land and ocean surfaces on the planet, according to data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

During the three-month time span, global land and ocean temperatures jumped up 1.53 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th century average, beating the record set in 2014 by .20 degrees Fahrenheit. The graph below, from the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration, illustrates how much higher temperatures are than in previous record-breaking years.

Our gubmint (NOAA) says so, huh?

This article should be laughed at but the underlying dilemma is that, in December:

Global leaders, including President Barack Obama, will meet in Paris later this year to hash out details of an international climate change accord aimed at curbing greenhouse gas emissions. The agreement is expected to include nearly 200 nations.

And the results, to include carbon taxes for every American industry, business and individual, will further burden our struggling economy.

And do you think Congress will have any say in the matter?

Not a chance, these taxes and rules will be imposed on us just like 0bamacare and pervert marriage were.

Merry Christmas.

How much data did they ignore to achieve this desired result?

Leftist lies from a hussein-controlled agency. This spring and summer, Texas had one of the coolest and wettest periods in history. My electric bills have been beyond low and the water bill close to non-existent since the sprinkler system hasn't been used. The Texas duck population is booming due to the mild, moist climate. NOAA is following the course of NASA. Both have become nothing more than mooose-slime outreach agencies.

It’s all down hill after this. Sun is going into a solar minimum for the next 20 years.

If we could only get a Republican-controlled Congress, everything would be just O-kay.

Well we laugh and mock at this in our private little enclaves but unless the problems with this “science” get heard from on high nothing is going to happen.

Similar ‘hottest ever’ claims from the fraudsters at the NOAA were comprehensively debunked on this thread.

Shorthand version: they’ve cooked the numbers.

A well known issue, but one you’d THINK had been factored out by now, is the growth in the size of urban heat islands around historical temperature measurement points.

Who’s bothering to try to keep the scientists honest anymore?

To get numbers like these, they’d HAVE to cook them.

They always cook the numbers.

We all know that this hoax is nothing more than another wealth redistribution scheme by the commies.

The sad thing is, how do we stop it?

Funny, we’ve been in Arizona for 6 years and this was the mildest summer we’ve had, so far. But to dictators, truth doesn’t matter.....only controlling the people matters.

Bwahahahahahahaha. I wonder how much data they had to manipulate/adjust to get those numbers. I bet Joe Bastardi has a field day with this on his Saturday summery.

So true FRiend! I can't even remember the last time I turned the air conditioning on but the heat pump was running aplenty well into June up here in North Texas. Here's further evidence of government lies manipulated from the White Hut's drought monitor:

In my best Jim Mora voice: Dought? Drought!?!? Ya kidding me? Don't talk to me about drought! Most boat ramps were closed on Labor Day because they were still flooded.
