I am confused. I thought Cruz was some sort of debate expert.....lol......wow....obviously that was brought up by FREEPERS without actually seeing him debate.

He won’t win the nomination and good thing he would get obliterated in the general. But...some here love pyrrhic victories.

Agree with the article — and Cruz did nothing to hurt his cause last night. He’s not the one getting all the buzz, but he landed some nice blows. It was particularly satisfying to see him obliterate Kasich on the Iran deal exchange. I loved the split screen with Cruz speaking with authority while Kasich fidgeted around and looked completely frazzled.

Cruz? Has been invisible since Trump’s announcement. Does he plan on doing something ANYTHING. Yes he is the favorite of hard core conservatives (including me). But he has to address the Nation.....first to beat every Republican in the Primaries ....then the whole country in the general.....but he is barely visible. If that’s his plan, it isn’t working.

The snarky tone of this article is obnoxious, but on his main point the author is correct: Cruz is doing well.

Cruz is quietly getting his leadership teams and delegates together in every state.

“Cruz is practiced and stentorian. He could make ordering a ham-and-cheese sandwich sound like a speech.”

I have to admit that one made me smile.

Cruz can’t just wait. He needs to do something. I hope he’s able to figure it out.

And, no, these are not debates - they are money making entertainment for the networks only slightly disguised as political debate. The networks know their audience and what sells. Shame on us and Americans at large for stepping in it. It has that “Christians in the Roman Colosseum with the lions” flavor about it. (I don’t own a tv and no I didn’t watch the “debates.” We should demand a better format or decline to participate.)

The Republican debates in this election cycle of 2016 with 17 candidates in stage has become a freak show of the show American Idol.

Other than her attack dog appeal why would any true blue conservative support Carley ?

John Kasinage is a waste of space and air in the Republican field.

Rand Paul would have done better as a Democrat candidate.

Linda Graham should have ran as a Democrat also.

* What’s Happening * Freddy Rerun ( Chris Christy ) Stubbs should go back to New Joy Zee , PLEASE !

I think the major problem that Cruz has to overcome is the deliberate marginalization and outright pretending that he doesn’t exist tactic being employed by the MSM and their political backers.

He may be building a base within the silent majority, but that won’t be quite enough.

At this point the goal would be to bury ¡JEB! and send the rest of the GOPe “spoilers” spiraling down the drain.

Another goal would be for the candidates to take charge of the debates, and stop falling for the MSM tactic of getting candidates to form a circular firing squad. Stick to Reagan’s 11th commandment, weed out the RINOs, and get back to fixing this country.
