U.S. tennis star Serena Williams lost the semifinal round at the U.S. Open Friday afternoon. She was upset by Roberta Vinci of Italy.
Williams was chasing a calendar Grand Slam, which hasn't been done since 1988, when Steffi Graf did it.

This just proves that women can beat men at Tennis even at their peak (duck and run) :)
She must have claimed she was ailing.

So what was the big deal the other night when she played her sister? They brought out all the nuts. Bruce Jenner interviewed both before the match and ESPN sent notices when the Kardashians showed up. I thought that was the final. I guess Williams thought she’d won her grand slam then. Good for her opponent.
The Steelers could use a little help in their secondary, based on their performance last night.
She should have taken more steroids.

It’s all baloney. Roids, HGH, doping are as prevalent in tennis as in any other sport. Many women players look more like men. The Italian who beat “Juicer Williams” today looks a bit suspect herself.

Serena needs to drop a few pounds as she gets older, like other athletes who prolong their careers when their physical abilities start to decline.
ESPNn IS pretty funny. “The extra day off threw her off her schedule.” oh, boo hoo hoo. “The sun and time of day for this match were new to her.” Serena even was “funny” at her press conference — if you get a chance to see that it’s worth it in how terse she is with the press and how she says Vinci had to have played the best match of her life to have beat her (which is untrue) as Serena just failed to return balls inside the court!!. Nasty piece of work imo.
I was wondering myself, so what? I think Americans want a big tennis blow out that compares in grandeur to The Wimbleton in London. The big hub-bub may also have to do with the fact that Serena might be retiring in the next few years. The chances to see both Williams Sisters still
whackin’ it on the courts will decrease drastically when one of them (probably older sister Venus) stops playing professionally, and stays stopped. I actually thought Venus had retired years ago.
Serena once locked herself in her rented room instead of submitting a urine sample that was supposed to test for steriods’. She later explained that she
was ‘exhausted’ and needed solitude (all of a sudden).
My speculation: That girl has been drinking the Kool-aid (steroids) and eating the glass pitcher it came in.
