While I don’t mind joking about it, this kid WOULD NOT BE DEAD if his parents, or the NRA, or someone had TRAINED HIM on guns - particularly 2 rules:

1) One NEVER points a gun towards himself or another human, for any reason other than self-defense.

2) One LEARNS what the term “a round in the chamber” means, which I strongly suspect was the case here.

The is a GREAT EXAMPLE of the need for firearms instruction, because it could be someone we love who tries that stunt some time.
