Chris Christie: We shouldn’t let Christian businesses opt out of gay ceremonies

In a televised interview with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday," Christie said that while churches should be free as far as their "religious activity" is concerned, all other entities should not be allowed to freely determine their participation in homosexual "weddings."

When Wallace asked the presidential hopeful if businesses had the religious freedom to decide whether or not to participate in gay "weddings," Christie replied, "Religious institutions should be able to decide how they conduct their religious activity. The rest of the folks in the United States need to follow the law."

Christie characterized Christians who seek to live their faith in the business world as discriminatory. "Businesses should not be allowed to discriminate, no."

In the past, Christie has also said that Christian clerks must violate their faith and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. He also signed a bill making it illegal for counselors and therapists to help gender-confused minors come out of the gay lifestyle.

So if a couple wants to have a photographer take pictures of them having sex then the moral beliefs of the photographer don’t matter? Same thing.

Claiming that the freedom to exercise religion is tied to membership in a religious “institution” is exactly the same, and just as lame, as claiming the right to keep and bear arms is tied to membership in a militia.

What’s next? Jes forced to cater nazi parties? Blacks forced to build and erect wooden crosses for the KKK? Christians forced to setup and support satanic rituals? (oops, guess we’re already doing that one)

People like Christie don’t even consider that it might be wrong to force businesses to do things.

He says they must “follow the law”. Well dumb ass that requires that you pass a law requiring them to participate in gay weddings. I guess Christie favors such a law.

FU fat boy. You cannot make me do anything. I will go to jail and suffer asset forfeiture before I recognize a queer marriage. I do however prefer a good armed conflict to settle the issue.

Hasn’t he heard of Separation Church and State? He is falling for the war on Christianity as being something about ‘equality’. Equality for whom? I guess he’s too stupid to figure it out (or he’s sucking up to TPTB.) I guess the later.

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission has already ruled on this sort of thing.
Refuse to service a homosexual wedding? Sexual orientation discrimination, illegal, get fined and sued. In Oregon, they even let the individuals pierce the corporate veil and go after personal assets on top of seeking to close the business.

Refuse to service conservatives demanding services? Free speech rights to refuse because the other side on the issue is a political viewpoint that the protected class can refuse to endorse.

RINO Christy is blatantly ignoring key language in Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
