I read somewhere that gambling and games of chance cheapen life by mocking hard work, and tend to agree. Bust your ass for forty years, socking it away, and some loser wins the powerball.
How do you know but that the ‘loser’ was actually a good man, perhaps had done a great kindness at some point, and Life is just paying him back?

I bear no ill will to those who obtain money easily (provided it’s not stolen) but I think in many cases easy money is not a blessing. If you follow lottery winners long enough you will find many are eventually less happy than before winning.
