Correction to an earlier post:

“There was one episode of the Andy Griffith Show where good old Floyd the Barber, commenting to someone on Barney’s erratic behavior, says something close to: “You see, Barney was never married. If he had a wife, little things like this wouldn’t bother him so much”. Meaning of course, he was getting _____ regularly. At least that’s the way I took it (many years later).”—me

Should have been:

(pp)”If he had a wife, little things like this wouldn’t bother him so much”. Meaning of course, if he was getting _____ regularly.

Left out the “if” (the 2nd one).

He was right, of course: getting nagged regularly gives one a sense of proportion about life's other ills. :-P

LOL. Yeah, little stuff like that can be surprising. But it is subtle. I don’t care for much of today’s programming. You never know what they will try to place in front of you. I don’t want to see homo kissing, etc.
