Preppers’ PING!

I would also like to ask the question it seems that lately I have once again angered a number of fellow FReepers with these prepping threads. Suggestion? To many post? Just do a once a week/month thread??

I don’t think you post too much. I thin there were so many people yelling that they sky was falling this week attracted people who have no concept of what will really happen when it falls.

I think I responded to one of those threads with a comment that it might be bad, but its not THAT bad...yet.

There is a lot of crap posted these days, yours are some of the few that I read without exception. If there are folks out there that cannot think for themselves...too bad for them.

Ignore them.

Some people aren’t happy unless they’re raining on someone’s parade.

Nobody is forcing anyone on FR to read any threads.

If they’re not interested, they can do what I do when they see something they aren’t interested in.

They can do the mature thing and scroll past it and not read it or comment on it instead of trying to control whatever anyone else is doing that they don’t approve of.

No one is forcing a FReeper to open your thread.

Kart, you’re providing valuable information.

Carry on, and ignore the complainers. Don’t reply to them. Drop them if they are on your list.

No one is *making* them read your threads.

Some people aren’t happy unless they can find something to b**** about.

I think you do a good job on frequency. If someone doesn't want to read a post, they can skip it. You don't seem to ruin the interior of posts.

Just don't ping the whiners.

I'm not a newbie here....

Kart, I have no problem with the number of threads. Each Prepper has to determine the amount, type etc. of how he wants to prep. You and everyone on this thread can give suggestions, but once it gets into denigrating how we go about that procedure it is over the line. I have used your manual to prep and think I have done a good job, but don't tell me how to invest my extra finances.

I don’t think the number of Prepper articles is too high. Easy enough to skip something if it doesn’t interest me.

I don’t have any problem with the number of threads you are pinging out.

Keep up the good work and ignore the whiners.

Yeah. Worry about when someone worries about all the Apple spam threads.

I’m sorry, I don’t know why it would annoy them. I very much enjoy them.

Just keep up the good work. I enjoy reading the threads, however I don't post that often on them. I having been prepping since 1998. You can always learn something new.

Thanks you for the all the hard work.

Do it whenever. We are seeing signs that things are coming down. Please continue with your preppers pings and valuable information. Ignore the others, they are not forced to read it, however it will be their responsibility if they are not prepared or at least try to.

Like a quote I heard on the Jim Bakker Show:

It is better to be prepared 1 year early than 5 minutes later when everything collapses.

You definitely don’t over-ping. I’d keep doing what you’re doing. If people have a problem with it, they don’t have to read them. Don’t cater to the difficult at the expense of your base ;)

My thought is a weekly dedicated thread (like the gardening thread), and continue pinging the list on existing threads of interest.
