A sinkhole in a northeastern Chinese city has swallowed five people in dramatic scenes that were captured on video.
A provincial broadcaster says four people were injured in the Saturday incident in the provincial capital of Harbin.

I hope nobody was hurt to badly, but it looks like at least one of them got a piece of furniture fall on him.
Somehow, I knew this was in China. Isn’t this city close to where that Mom got sucked into the escalator after saving her toddler son? This happened about a month ago. The mother perished.
The Chinese have gone through a long period of exponential growth and construction. My thinking, is that an awful lot of this construction is performed by marginally qualified people, just for the sake of job distribution. As a consequence, you get half done or shoddy work with little follow up inspections until something like this occurs.
No OSHA there.
