I know some on FR have a bias against Pit Bulls, but they are the nicest animals on Earth, IMO.
Also I will probably get banned for stating this, but the crazy liberal Huffington Post should be congratulated for their advocacy of pit bulls.
I am a Trump/Cruz leaning conservative, but don't understand the hatred against this breed.
Yeah you live in Ohio and you probably love the cigarette taxing Governor Kasich.
“you live in Ohio and you probably love the cigarette taxing Governor Kasich.”
Off topic much?....LOL!
This is just getting silly....
The fact he doesn’t believe dogs can love wasn’t enough to do that for you?
This thread is about drinking; it has become an official *Thread Hijack Drinking Game.*
Stay tuned, we haven't got to the aborted babies yet.
Be patient, the drinking has started. Drink. Other have.
Hug a Pit Bull. Join in the fun.
I think you left the rest for the clean-up crew. ;)
That’s cute. I wonder about my lab int he same way. I know he has a good mean bark. That is at least helpful.
Those Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are beautiful dogs. Actually so is the Golden. Do you have much issue with hair? My lab sheds horribly. I wasn’t expecting that from a lab, though after reading up on it I should have known.
To be fair, I can easily see why he would not believe that.
His dogs would no doubt be hard pressed to love him, what with the choking and all.
o_O
I never cease to be amazed at things people openly admit doing, in public forums.
You gotta wonder what kind of horrors they keep *secret*.
I don’t have anything against Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terriers-I just don’t happen to like Terriers of any type very much-they are too hyper for my taste. My daughter has a purebred Pit that was rescued from a puppy farm, and he likes to jump onto the laps of people who come to her house...
I prefer dogs from breeds that guard- I’ve owned and loved two German Shepherds and a Chow, and all lived to a ripe old age-but I have a 16 year old Siberian Husky now who thinks she is supposed to watch and protect-I bought her when she was 8 weeks old, and have never owned a dog I did not buy from an AKC recommended breeder as a puppy, so they bond with my family from day one.
Some people out here have Pitbulls/Staffordshires that guard livestock and property, but really big dogs like Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Great Pyrenees, etc are more common-probably because hearing that hound-of-the-Baskervilles bark at night is a blood chilling deterrent to crime...
Whereas I tend to make friends with every dog I meet, lol. Still a cat person at heart, but a friend of mine has the most adorable beagle/basset mix that I’d love to steal...total couch potato and lovebug.
I know, right?
I have *never* had a dog not like me.
Not even ones who were, in theory, “savage junkyard guard dogs”.
I first discovered my “secret power” when I was about 4 years old.
Dad took some metal he needed welded to old man Zello back in the woods.
Zello had dozens of junkyard dogs, mostly GSDs/GSD mixes.
They congregated around a huge pile of tires.
While dad and Zello were fixing dad’s piece of equipment, I discovered the dogs.
[Zello couldn’t even feed them normally, he pushed their bowls to them with a long stick, they were that vicious]
Couple hours later, I hear my dad screaming my name, in a panic because they could not find me.
I was on top the tire pile, with all the dogs snuggled around me and we’d been sleeping.
The guys showed up and the dogs started snarling.
Wouldn’t let them near me.
Dad kept yelling “GET DOWN HERE!” and I soon realized, he could not get past the dogs guarding me so I didn’t have to listen to him.
Eventually, I did come down because I was getting hungry and it was getting dark and cold but it sure took a long time to hug and kiss every one of those dogs goodbye.
:D
Most sociopaths are.
:)
I've been mauled twice in my life. Both times were by Chow Chows
That’s quite a trifecta in play: moonshine, full moon, and psychopathy. Goodness!
And naturally, I’m gonna just drop this, right here.
:)

Awesome show.
In that photo you posted, I don't believe that the man to General Patton's right (photo left) is General Bradley. My guess is that he is likely Maj. General Otto P. ("Opie") Weyland, of the United States Army Air Services (later United States Air Corps then United States Air Force.)
Maj. Gen. Otto Weyland effectively led the XIX Tactical Air Command (9th Air Force), which worked very closely with Lt. Gen. Patton's 3rd Army. During the Normandy breakout, the 3rd Army's right flank was open to enemy attack, but Weyland's fighter-bombers provided for its defense. Working in concert with the 9th Air Force, the 3rd Army advanced an average of 20 miles per day. Patton called Weyland the "best d*** general in the Air Corps."

Yup, it certainly could be!
It will take me most of the day to view this. So far, very good. [Of course, I love the featured Labs!] ;)
