Is Trumps movement fascist rather than conservative?

I am honestly getting a little scared of what I see happening in politics at the moment. Trump seems to be creating a personality cult where his supporters don’t seem to care what they are supporting provided he attacks the people they don’t like. I am starting to feel a little bit like a German citizen in the early 1930’s watching normally rational conservatives start to cultishly follow a strong leader who they thought would fight back and stop the communists.

Seriously if I had to pick a political philosophy for the Trump movement I would say that it is fascism for the following reasons.

1. Trump's support of and past involvement in crony capitalism (such as his support for using the condemnation power of the state to take property for private parties with good government connections).

2. Trump's followers extreme desire for a strong leader and almost mystical belief that he can fix things without caring what his beliefs or idealogy is.

3. Trump's support for a type of nationalism that is starting to push into the overtly rascist and nativist realm.

4. The delight that Trump seems to take in personally demeaning and attempting to destroy anyone who opposes him. And the way that his followers cheer him on in so including supporting him using sexist slurs against Megan Kelly for doing her job as a journalist.

5. Finally, the fact that Trump and his supporter seem to have no concern for the constitution or the separation of powers.

German citizens post-WWI were being pummeled with the Dolchstoßlegende propaganda (I prefer Dolchstoßlüge) that had them believing that the loss of the “Great War” was due to some undefined (and spuriously-claimed) treachery of Jews with respect to the disestablishment of the monarchy there.

The only people pushing stuff like that in the USA today are the liberal “anti-Zionists” defending the lies of the so-called “Palestinians” and worse, indoctrinating college campuses and pushing the lies through the liberal media.

Trump is destroying the pro-invasion RINO’s for the benefit of Ted Cruz.

^^This, I hope^^, and

4. .....against Megan Kelly for doing her job as a journalist.

Are you freaking kidding me? A journalist? LOL! Megan deserved to have her ass handed to her.

If you use leftist talking points (and you have), what am I left to conclude? It’s like arguing that Satan merely had a “differing opinion” from his Creator.

And your emotional reply here only reinforces that perception on my part.

As I recall from my readings, Mussolini said the Keystone of fascism is the primacy of the state over the individual. The rest of it, ex. nationalism, are just a means to establishing and maintaining the keystone. Someone should ask Trump whether he values individual liberty over “the state”. Of course he could pull and Obama, and lie.

Yep. Before an election, fascists tend to network with each other behind the scenes.

I agree with your analysis.

Trump is not a conservative. At his core he remains a NYC liberal -— first a Democrat, now a Republican. Think Giuliani and Bloomberg.

Trump is out for himself. An egomaniac of the first order who is driving his candidacy by building his own cult of personality on the emotional fragility and irrationality of some folks. And while Trump’s supporters may take him seriously, he still acts like a buffoon.

Don’t be fooled, people.

There are also quite a few fascist voices to mislead in politics.

Look at the bottom of the following page, under “Browsing Location.” See “School.” And most of those from “Work” are from government offices. See?

That also explains the blitz for socialist candidates and against conservative candidates.

Or did you copy it from some obscure leftwing blog? Sure reads like it. You even got the buzz words and memes down cold.

It’s been a liberal meme for the last week or so that Trump and his supporters are Nazis, George Wallace bigots, etc. Nothing original in this vanity.

Those with such fear cannot be conservatives, then.

I’m not sure what to think about Trump. Is he for real? I don’t know. He wasn’t a conservative until “recently”. He seems to be a bit of an egomaniac and I hope he isn’t just saying all this cool sounding stuff just to get elected. I guess we’ll see. But I do admit he worries me because I’m not sure where he really stands.... :-(
