Vanity - WD Passport drive not compatible with Windows 10
Posted on 08/23/2015 7:17:44 PM PDT by Perdogg
I had to go back to W8.1 tonight because my passport drive was not compatible with W10.
Unless I am doing something wrong. I check the WD website and it said it was not compatible. Has anyone else experienced this?

As a Windows 7 diehard curiosity got the best of me and I installed Windows 10 on an old Dell box and an old ThinkPad both of which were running slow. I left my main Asus box that runs Windows 7 untouched.
The two old machines run like dream on Windows 10 and both recognize my Passports just fine.

Windows 9 was skipped because there are a LOT of login scripts on servers that would interpret it as Windows 95 or 98.

Windows 9 never crashed. Not once.
