"I think Ted Cruz is the best free-trader in the race but because of those perceptions, this attack from him would have less effect. "
MORE than 1/2 of the base is opposed to totally free trade and would endorse a variety of "Fair Trade" instead.
Also, I contend only Trump can take down Trump.
And after his disjointed speech in Mobile I'd say some folks are probably cooling to him.

I’ve heard this word “disjointed” but not from a Trump supporter (or are you for Walker)?
I don’t get why people that support Trump would be cooled off by his speech in Mobile. I mean, it was pretty typical of Trump and that’s why those people like him. They seem to ignore substance and focus more on the delivery and they seem to like that “disjointing” for the most part.

Bigbob you are VERY right about this!!! Trump has surrounded himself with the VERY best and brightest and they are LOYAL above ALL else!!!
I have been amazed that there have been NO ex staff members coming out in droves with huge negative stories about him and his organization!!! He has complete control of this, his legal team are pitbulls the best available to ANYONE!!!! I do not think ANYONE can take him down, it would be utter suicide on their part!!! He is kind of like the head of the mafia not one to be messed with!!!!!

That’s the way I see it also. Ted Cruz as President of the Senate for eight years would do a ton of good.

We must have seen different speeches, I thought it was great and so did 30,000+ people that were there. Stop being a debbie downer, sorry your candidate is getting his / her a$$ kicked by The Donald.

How is taking Trump down going to elevate the GOP? The pimps at the GOPe make money regardless which party's liberals get into office. They're all a part of the same corrupt tree.
But Trump, they cannot control and won't be able to manipulate. There's no profit in it for them. That's why the GOPe would rather a dem be potus than a conservative.

Rockwell was my first thought when I saw it!

She appears to be experiencing great happiness, perhaps even spiritual joy.
On the other hand, maybe shes just delighted that Trump isnt either killing or molesting her child, the way the Democrats do.

What you write about Huckabee, Carson, Walker and Santorum is true. There are a couple of problems. Of the three, it seems only Carson has anyone listening at the moment. Huckabee and Santorum will be gone in short order due to a lack of funds. Walker also has money problems. I am not sure that Carson has in him to attack Trump. Overall, theses are individual candidates without a unified voice. Cruz is perhaps the only candidate that can pull anything off. It seems that Cruz and Trump have become allies, at least in the short-term.
Notice I didn't mention Jeb. I don't think he needs mentioning. He's toast.

“GOP consultant” and “genius” should never be used in the same sentence.
To: conservativejoy
And what will they get if they pull this sh!t? Two words: President Biden.
Trump will go independent and there will be enough stupid or otherwise-dysfunctional people to elect the Dim.
