No telling how many he has but I would assume they are enough and very good at what they do.

I’ve worked with Trump before and he had serious security even before his shows, etc.
The guy is a raw business man and uses every loophole he can. He’s pissed off lots of rich people over the years and there are no doubt multiple contracts on his life.

I saw the same thing when I saw him at Trump Tower a week and a half ago. But the “security experts” at FR told me what I saw as lack of security was all in my tiny feminine mind...

What do you base your conclusion on (that his security is lacking)?
From what I hear, Trump has the very best security. He has spent his career in mob central and he knows how to hire the best.
He most likely had an advance team in that stadium from the first moment it was being set up for the event and his team worked hand-in-glove with with local police (that is how he operates).

Trump usually gets local police (and/or state police) involved because it's free and multiplies his security coverage.
His head of security is a former NYPD officer.

So, today, because he’s a declared candidate for office, he gets local police protection? Surely, he didn’t when he was just plain old Donald Trump, Businessman. That would be crazy.

I don’t buy that. At Trump Tower, no one was going through metal security, people were being seated next or near to him in the restaurant by a female maître d’ and busboys and waiters were brushing right by him. Not to mention gawkers like me. My husband took a photo of him not far from the grill. Believe me, if it had been a pistol, he could have gotten off a shot before being tackled by anybody.
When I used to go to Guiliani campaigns as a “Young Republican” in the 90s if I made a quick move his security people were mighty suspicious. So much so that it kind of turned me off a bit.

The locals in Scotland
have complained about Trump's use of local police to enhance his security.
The best security people blend in and are not noticed...but they are watching everyone.

“Trump usually gets local police (and/or state police) involved because it’s free and multiplies his security coverage.”
Using local police isn’t free. Cops are paid hourly. It was big news that Trump personally paid for the Mobile cops’ overtime who covered his event. However, people like Hillary demand that local taxpayers pick up the bill so that it’s “free” to her.

I have no idea why The Donald needs police protection in Scotland. Makes no sense to me.

The environmental nuts are enraged over his development of a golf course from an otherwise natural landscape. Have made threats.
And as you say, why would he need security in Scotland? His enemies in the U.S. might reach the same conclusion and travel to Scotland to see if he let his security take the day off.

I’m not surprised that Trump pays off duty officers. But when they are on duty, they are free. See the link in my earlier post about Trump’s use of police in Scotland.

The best security is invisible. The best bombs are also invisible. I was (and am) afraid for his safety from Day One.
