"Then I looked out the window and, you know, it was about 13 altogether, so I fell on the floor.

What???

When I got back up, after the shots was gone,

What???

I seen somebody in all this black running down the street, and when I looked down on the ground, I seen my son."

Oh. Okay. That part makes a little sense.

How could he see someone in black running down the street in the middle of the night? What grown man asks their daddy for $1.50 to go to the store? What can you buy with $1.50 other than a pack of gum or a coke? Maybe it was “coke” he was looking to buy at 1:30 am because there’s not much you need to buy in the middle of the night besides drugs. Thirteen shots is a good indication he had enemies and they were determined to kill him deader than dead. But, hey, other than not being able to keep his pants zipped, he was a good guy, turning his life around, a caring father, was looking forward to getting a job as a rapper, and everyone liked him (except for that young man... oops, must include the possibility of a young woman who shot him). What time do the protests start?

Judging by the article the whole family is horribly ignorant and can’t conjugate a verb between them but gee, the poor man just saw his son dead on the street. I don’t think many of us would be coherent under the circumstances.
