The greatest cat I ever owned passed on today just a few weeks shy of her 19th birthday. She was the oldest kitty I ever had but I'm afraid that's gonna make it harder to adjust to a world without her.
I could tell endless stories about her (as she could about me!).
Just wanted to post this to the Freeper community 'cause I get so much comfort here talking with like minded souls and could sure use an extra dose today.
Thank you so much :(
Hope you are indulging, too. Send me a few bottles every now and then. :)
So sorry, Catmom. Tell her to say hi to Rags and Boo.
Wow!
Lots of super old kitties here on FR.
I’d heard kitties were living longer than ever but somehow I believe Freeper kitties live the longest ‘cause we’re so loving and responsible.
Not to brag on ourselves, though ;)
I’m sure she’s having quite the banquet right now!
Sorry for your loss Catmom.
I’m so sorry about your loss, Catmom.
Condolences on the loss of Tabitha, your loved little friend.
If it’s any consolation, I’ve buried so many pets in my back yard that I sometimes feel like that Anthony Perkins character in the Alfred Hitchcock movie, “Psycho”.
Our Mamakitty was with us for 21 years, when we lost her in 2008.
So I think I know how you’re feeling.
Heartfelt sympathy to you, Catmom.
(((HUGS!)))
Rest in peace, sweet kitty.
May you be comforted during this loss of your furry friend.
I am a “doggie person” but I sincerely do understand.
I am so sorry for your loss, but know this... you will see her again. God loves His animals, and they ARE with Him in Heaven.
:)
Condolences on your loss. I had a Tabitha back in the ‘90s (1990-1998), she died after giving birth. Her great-great-grandnephew is still alive at 13, the last remaining cat from her family.
So very, very sorry for your loss...hugs. They do get into you heart, don’t they? And she will always be with you in your heart.
Be open and another will find you when you are least expecting it. Mine found me on the interstate on my way to work. Crawled up into a truck motor in front of me and fell out onto the center of the lane. Took the next exit, went back and pulled over on the shoulder, ran out and scooped him up...he was about 9weeks old. Freeway was with me for 18 years and was the best, quirky, cool cat I’ve ever had. Still miss him.
Years later, Gabby, a stray, showed up. Named because shortly after we started feeding her,she went into heat and screamed day and night before a little trip to the vet.;) She is the current queen of the house and is a hoot and a half.
Another one is out there looking for you, waiting to be loved.
We lost our last pet a week ago and and still keep looking/ listening for Mikey cat.
Condolences.
My condolences.
Our dear tuxedo male, Napoleon, is 19 and slowing down. We keep him going on special kidney diet. Otherwise he would be long gone!
“we never really recover.”
We truly don’t recover. After months or years have passed, things will seem better. Then something will happen and it’s like the loss was yesterday. Very difficult to lose pets. I hope Tabitha is waiting at Rainbow Bridge for all of us, along with our Homer, Duchess, Duke, and Noodles. So sorry for your loss.
