Okay, I just saw the list of the GOP presidential candidates. The top 10 at the main debate and the 7 who have to be at the "kiddie table." One unnoticed as yet aspect of this format is that one or more of the Top 10 candidates could be demoted in future polls to the "kiddie table." A very public humiliation.
Okay, so who do you think will be the FIRST Top 10 candidate to exit the main debate in the future and be assigned to the "kiddie table?"
Anyone in the last 5 top places of the current top 10, for certain.
I doubt any of these folks will drop out just because they get relegated to the kiddy table. Read earlier today that Santorum is reshuffling his staff because he is out of money. Reality is they can keep winnowing down the staff and keep their name in the campaign with pocket change and an attempted newsworthy comment occasionally.
The ‘kiddie table’ might not be so bad. You have more time to speak, and nobody will be distracted by Donald Trump because he’s not there.
I’m picturing them eating turkey and stuffing at a small table. That is what our “kiddie table” at Thanksgiving is like.
Maybe Rand Paul?
Christie and Kasich are the obvious candidates, but I think whoever tries to take a swipe at Trump could be putting himself at risk.
All I know is that in the future, being demoted from Top 10 state to the Kiddie Table debate means YOU ARE NOT WORTHY!!!
PJ,
Do we know when the next “debate” is? And will the same criteria be used for the contestants?

The positioning is interesting. Trump center stage flanked by Jeb and Jeb-lite.
Christie should already be a the kiddie table but libs are boosting his numbers.
It would, but he's got all the votes he's going to get in the mushy middle. So unless he finds a why to stop true RINOs from digging him, he's stuck with his 15-18% all the way to the convention.
It could make for a great comedy script:
SCENE 1: A Top 10 candidate is loudly denouncing The Donald.
SCENE 2: That same candidate is at the kiddie table asking Jim Gilmore how life on the campaign trail has been been treating him.
Kasich probably isn’t any more conservative than Christie.
But wasn’t he also a good friend of Joe Scarborough and Gary Condit who, like Scarborough, oddly left office at the time of Condit’s scandal?
Christie and Kasich, for obvious reasons. They are almost there anyway. There are stronger candidates beneath them that just need more exposure.
We pretty much threw out the idea of the kiddie table in my family. We still call it the kiddie table but its usually a mix of adults, teenagers, and the little ones.
I’m a traditionalist so I sit at the head of the table to my grandmother’s right.
With Perry at his elbow.
The kids seem to enjoy having an adult with them. And their conversation is never pompous or stuffy.
But to answer your question: Kasich.
I have a GoPro (Hero+ LCD) camera so this Thanksgiving I think I will set it on a tripod at the kiddies table to see if I get interesting footage.
BTW, I mean a SMALL table tripod. Not the big one.
