I don’t know if Trump would want to live there. It is definitely a few steps down for him.

I read that in the past, he offered his personal money to build a gigantic ballroom on the back lawn of the White House, but his offer was rejected. Interesting.

He probably would't make much use of Camp David as a getaway, either, and if we think Obama's entourages backing up traffic are bad, wait until The Donald wants to spend the weekend at home in Manhattan. But Trump also has homes and his own golf courses in Florida and Scotland, and scores of Presidential Suites in his hotels all over the world.

He might want to demolish the WH and erect a high-rise the heighth of the Washington Monument. Trump’s Tower of Power.

I gotta admit that the place has gained a seedy persona since the Clintons.

These should be the best debates we have ever seen. I just wish they had split them up into smaller groups.

Like the American's Got Talent show. We could have Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel pre-screen the debates.

“The Five?” Really? When? Every time I tune in they are bashing Trump right and left, especially that doofus Guttfeld.

The country has been hungry for a message like his for a long time. I know he will win over many Democrat blue collar voters as Reagan. The black vote will be harder to get since they vote 90% Democrat but I think there are many blacks who are getting tired of the old formula that gave them Furgeson and Baltimore. Since the sixties Democrats have fed the Black community a steady diet of welfare and anger and after fifty years what has it gotten them.

He certainly made sanctuary cities a household name. Before Trump hardly anyone knew about sanctuary cities now everybody knows about it. I was really pleased to see a full page news story in my local paper with a picture of Kate Steinle along with a large picture of Barack Obama. The title asked why was Obama silent on Kate Steinle’s murder when he interjected himself in the killings of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Freddie Gray. WOW! This is hard hitting stuff and we have Trump to thank for it. Trump has blown the lid of illegal immigration and he is educating the American public about this. And don’t forget most of the over 200 sanctuary cities are run by Democrats. Fox News’ Jesse Waters went to the San Francisco city council and confronted them about their sanctuary city policy. Did you ever think that you would see such a thing.

"We should try to elect the one who promises to address our greatest concerns, then work to hold them to it if needed."

No, we should, as thinking conservatives, try to elect the candidate with the most solid conservative record. Promises mean zip.

And we've all seen how effective "holding them to it" is after electing unworthy candidates.

House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have become the stooges of the cabal that rules Washington D.C. and is holding a fire sale where the sell away everything from economic prosperity, the rule of law, to the well-being of the average American.

"Trump"

"sexy"

Please. I'm begging you. Don't ever use those two words in a sentence together.

The critical issues in this election don't fit into the old liberal/conservative boxes. The Dims, with their open borders policies, are building toward a long term electoral majority. They cannot win without a big portion of the population being poor, Third World immigrants.

As thinking conservative, we better elect people who will reverse those policies rather than elect more who will be beholden to the Cheap Labor Express donor class and help the Dims achieve their long term majority.

A "solid conservative record" means they've probably been voting for open borders, amnesty and one-sided trade agreements. All the "conservative" issues will be lost and in the past if we keep electing such solid conservatives.

We need conservatives who fight for US sovereignty and prosperity and not globlalist "conservatives", of which we have far too many.

"The critical issues in this election don't fit into the old liberal/conservative boxes."

That means we should stop using our brains and elect anyone who promises "change?"

" The Dims, with their open borders policies, are building toward a long term electoral majority. They cannot win without a big portion of the population being poor, Third World immigrants."

Yes, I understand all that. Which is why we better get it right and elect a solid Constitutional conservative. Nothing less will do.

"As thinking conservative, we better elect people who will reverse those policies rather than elect more who will be beholden to the Cheap Labor Express donor class and help the Dims achieve their long term majority."

Yes. I'll refer you to my previous response up there.

"A "solid conservative record" means they've probably been voting for open borders, amnesty and one-sided trade agreements. All the "conservative" issues will be lost and in the past if we keep electing such solid conservatives."

Okay, stop. Listen to what you're saying here. Really listen.

You're telling me that a person with a solid conservative record has been voting like a liberal. That makes absolutely no sense. You get that, right?

"We need conservatives who fight for US sovereignty and prosperity and not globlalist "conservatives", of which we have far too many."

Yeah, I didn't see the "globalist" accusation thrown around until some folks got distracted by a shiny new toy. It's an excuse to stick with their new fun thing.

You miss the critical point. There is no clear and widely agreed upon definition of what the conservative position is on border security and illegal immigration.

There are so-called conservative, free market capitalist, free traders who think there should be no borders. There should be a free movement of labor worldwide. That is the Wall Street Journal position. And that is what many so-called conservatives who refuse to enforce immigration law believe, they just are political cowards so they use other methods to advance open borders without admitting what they are doing.

Many Americans are often mytified that nothing is ever done about the absurdly high legal immigration and that immigration law has not been enforced since at least the mid-80s. But it's really no mystery. A heck of a lot of American businessmen and their bought and paid for conservative politicians are totally in favor of high legal immigration and no law enfocement to stop illegal immigration.

It's pointless to debate with you because you have not yet realized that we have a Uniparty when it comes to these issues, and there is no understood and accepted conservative position. They all get confused by the free market, free trade ideology that most have swallowed whole and it heavily influences how they view immigration also, legal and illegal.

Perhaps President Trump would dilute the power center of Washington DC.

"The article was only addressing talk radio."

Sorry, morning glory, I referenced paragraph three in the article which referred to "TV pundits". The article author quoted Media Matters, and he clearly wanted the source in his article...and he agreed with it.

If you want to pick tiny absurd nits, fine with me. My post stands.

Neither Trump nor Cruz are going to get a fair shake on Fox or any other network.

I disagree. Trump and Cruz are both getting fair treatment on FNC. I commented to someone the other day that I counted at least five personalities on FNC who were actively defending Trump. I have never heard any bad comment about Cruz from anyone on FNC. At worst, they’re not talking enough about Cruz because their polls (right or wrong) don’t have him high in the field. Cavuto has been the only one snarky to Cruz, and Cruz promptly ate his lunch. Besides Trump, Carly, Carson, and Perry have been getting the most coverage from FNC. Poor ol’ Perry though is only asked about Trump, and he gets spittin’ mad about it.

I thought Andrea Tantaros was gonna jump off the couch, and strangle Lindsay Graham the other day, and the next day Jesse Waters referred to him as “Grahamnesty”.

By the way MinuteGal, Gutfeld is a Libertarian like Paul, and all Libertarians are liberal on some issues.
