The Donald may not be a formal “debater”, but he is a negotiator, and he brings a whole arsenal of tools to negotiations.

He has faced plenty of negotiations. Rarely does he leave the table dissatisfied with the end result, which almost always ends with him getting more out of it than the adversary. And it is not merely the actual balance worked out, it is the feeling of a deal concluded advantageously.

Hell of a guy to face over the poker table. The Donald does not bluff, and it is no coincidence his surname is “Trump”.

"The stampede to trash Trump is from all directions since he's bringing up issues that those from all directions agree on."

As an early Trump supporter, I have to say that terms like "Leader of the Western World" should be seen as hyperbole, at best, and delusion at worst.

Trump has shown he has a good shot at the prize, because...your quote above is what it looks like when a whole new political coalition is being built.

New, zealous, nationwide coalitions have always overwhelmed their opposition in the short run. Some even survive in the long run, like the Republican party.

But one thing seems apparent, Trump is leading a sizeable parade.

The Donald, even if elected, may never take up residence in the White Hut, instead conducting business from whatever residence he so chooses, and simply turn the Presidential palace into a museum, at least for the duration of his term in office.

These should be the best debates we have ever seen. I just wish they had split them up into smaller groups. Hopefully the herd will be smaller soon.

It also explains the push against the one candidate who has a real record of cutting much government spending on so many salaries and pensions of useless socialists. And most of us know who he is.

Which is why seeing what ‘is’ rather than what we want to see is so critically important. Or we are in fact, no different, nor any smarter then DU liberals.

And "Savage" is a pee-stained puke-boy.

And there we have it, the essence of Humblegunner. Have you ever wondered, before you hit the "Post" key, whether or not your post will contribute to the intellectual richness of the FR community? You truly want posts like this to be part of your posting history?

The author got a little carried away in some areas.

Most of Fox's "The Five" are NOT making a "hero" of Trump, a couple of them are luke-warm at most, all the while looking nervous as hell while they try not to praise Donald too much.

I've never seen a more currently whipped, ennervated, weasely, boring bunch in a long time...except for big-mouths Juan Williams and Whorealdo who at least have the courage of their commie convictions with each of them dominating and using up most of the time during the course of the program.

And "Five" member, Greg Gutfeld, a closet liberal, trashed the daylights out of Trump on his new Sunday night show.

You can tell easily that at the back of the minds of any dynamic conservatives on The Five (and there aren't any, of course) is the fact that the owner, Murdoch, spoke out against Trump last week, he's a good friend of Valerie Jarrett....and the two liberal forty-something sons of Murdoch take the reins of the network in 6 days (if they haven't already).

Trump may have a bombastic personality—so didn’t Teddy Roosevelt—but he is not dumb. You cannot build a huge empire as he did and be dumb. All the things I have heard him say so far make sense and represent main stream conservative views.

Do you really give a lot of thought to stuff like that?

Have you ever wondered, before you hit the "Post" key, whether or not your post will contribute to the intellectual richness of the FR community?

No, not even once.
I'll leave that intellectual richness to others.

And there we have it, the essence of Humblegunner.

That's what SHE said.

“Lending support” is a long way from endorsing, and nobody has yet done that with The Donald.

Do I like what The Donald is doing? Darned straight. He is ripping off the bandages plastered over festering wounds and exposing a LOT of corrupt practices to light, especially for the “low-information voter”. And because he does it boldly, without apology, and with enough grand or flamboyant manner, verve, style, flair or whatever, he is applauded with genuine admiration by a growing number of otherwise quite disparate factions.

Some call this populism, and it is. A parade was waiting to get formed up, a clearly defined and self-assured personality has stepped up to its head, setting a pace brisk and with great assurance. The bands strike up the march music, and the attraction is spread to the wider crowd which until now had only been standing on the sidelines, but gleefully joins in.

Of course, it is only prudent to glance back from time to time, to see if anybody is still there. If not, switch around to the front of wherever the procession is going. You see The Art of the Deal in action.

Insightful post... BTTT

The article was only addressing talk radio. Neither Trump nor Cruz are going to get a fair shake on Fox or any other network.

But know what the man is before simply accepting happy words we love hearing, lest we have a repeat of the Pillars of Styro and hopenadchange of our own.

But we aren't even hearing the happy words from anyone other than Trump and to some extent Cruz. Trump's the only one who's even talking about seriously improving border security and taking on the one-sided trade agreements.

There is a group of issues that don't fit the old liberal/conservative categories, and large numbers of voters consider those the most important issues.

We should try to elect the one who promises to address our greatest concerns, then work to hold them to it if needed. We sure won't get any improvement in those issues with any of the other GOP candidates or Hillary.

Yeah, the vetting of Donald Trump is not complete. Certainly he has some questions to answer.

The vetting should proceed in the finest traditions of Free Republic. And it should be accurate, relevant and harsh.

It’s Trumps happy words I’m talking about. He and Cruz are the only two people that matter in this election.

His message will surely resonate in the rust belt and all the places with closed up factories. The blue collar American worker has been sold down the river. One third of American factories have closed down. For thirty years we have been listening to the flim flam of the internationalists in both parties.

I remember how they told us that we would be sending some older labor intensive jobs to other countries because that was the old technology. We would be making new high technology goods, then high tech goods such televisions and computers went to other countries. They flat out lied to us all those years ago. Now it is hard to find things that are not made in other countries.

The same kinds of people who lied to us thirty years ago are lying to us about illegal immigration and what a blessing it is to us. These are the same people who control Boehner and McConnell and many of the fake conservatives.

Trump is well positioned to take PA, NY, NJ OH, MI and WI. In the primaries and in the General.

As far as I can tell out here in CA, he would take the June '16 Primary. Probably all of the Mountain West.

He will not do near as well in the south and Northwest.

But that's all guessing on my part.

And he's accomplished that by emphasizing only one of his critical issues: illegal immigration.

He hasn't talked much about the one-sided trade agreements, growing trade deficits, the $18.5 trillion debt, economic stagnation, and how only a robust, growing, job creating domestic economy will solve our deficit and spending problems.

Lots more to talk about. I just hope he'll sharpen his discussion of these issues and put forth some more specific policies. - If he does it well, his support can be moved up several more times.
