Is MSNBC canning one of its most controversial voices?

Amid reports that MSNBC may overhaul a large portion of its programming, it's likely that the left-leaning network is about to cut ties with one of its most strident hosts.

On Thursday, the media news site Mediaite reported that MSNBC, under new leadership by NBC News Chairman Andy Lack, is canceling at least three of its shows. Among them, the talk show "The Cycle," where Toure Neblett, once a flame-throwing commentator, particularly on racial issues, resides as a co-host.

"The question is asked, what does he bring to the table?" one source inside MSNBC said to the Washington Examiner media desk.

If "The Cycle" is canceled, Neblett would appear to be out of a job, unless he is demoted to a contributor role or roving correspondent position, as has happened to other former hosts at MSNBC.

The "man" is nothing more than an affirmative action hire and a hateful racist; even MSLSD saw this.

And they think that hiring Brian Williams will return viewership, LOL.

“NBC News Chairman Andy Lack”

Perhaps related to Professor George Lackoff?

Every dog (and most Poodles) has their day on the big stage.
Maybe Toure can apply for work at Huff-Po. Failing that, look for him to link up with some ‘Black Live’s Matter’ type group.

Of all the changes pending at MSNBC I have yet to hear anyone talk of getting rid of Sharpton.

He is controversial and he has very low ratings. As they evaluate the future of their channel, how can they just make him immune to changes????

Why don’t they just admit that their network is a reality show
and re-name it Real Jackasses of New York City?

Why not can the entire network? Put everyone out of their misery.

It will take a LOT more than that to fix the SHARPIE/MATTHEWS network.

Maybe he can write some more novels about the kid he forced his ex-girlfriend to abort.

Canning the good "Reverend" would have the same effect on the black community as another "gentle giant" slaying.

Sharpton is the gibmedats voice for the people.

The question is asked, what does he bring to the table?

Conventional wisdom, groupthink, racial hatred and catchphrases posing as intellectualism?

"nothing more than an affirmative action hire"

Certainly this clown is virtually worthless. But the tragedy of AA is that, outside of sports, there's no way of knowing which black employees are competent. AA has poisoned the field.

All blacks (and other minorities) are suspected of being artificially elevated due to their skin color. Obviously, there are many competent blacks, but they all suffer the stigma of being a possible AA hiree.

That’s a very good point. Toure is a loud-mouthed idiot, but no one really pays attention to him. Sharpton is an even-bigger loudmouth, AND he’s caused real harm to people with his actions over the years.

Yeah, let’s see the name calling, hair pulling and drunken fights that go on behind the camera!
