You do understand competing right? Cruz will ultimately need to distinguish himself from Trump and say why we should vote for Cruz rather than Trump or Walker or etc as each candidate will need to do.
So I would not call not apologizing to Trump for anything a mistake on Walker’s part. How Trump’s style wears the voting public remains to be seen.

Do you seriously believe that one candidate should be apologizing to another candidate for something someone else said? That "someone else" is Walker's surrogate. You bet he should have smoothed this over with Trump.
It doesn't speak well of Walker that he let it fester. A gentleman and a smart candidate would have jumped right on it.
Bad move. He gave Trump a justified reason to go upside his head.

I’ve been getting the feeling that Walker is a stealth candidate for someone and can’t or won’t speak for himself. Walker's GOP-e through and through. He reeks of it.
