I want to believe.

I have his book and once the current Matt Bracken is finished he is next in the queue. It could all be baloney like 0's.

There are going to be things about the man that I won't like, ain't a deal killer. But really I mean he got elected a few times, on his message. Lot of doofi have done all that.

I want to know how many times he has changed his own oil, or replaced a battery. Mowed his grass. Had a beer with an old bud. Or watched a Kung Fu movie with his kids. OK, they're girls, but still.

What is he like when you meet him? Bush 43 was awesome to meet, and ride with. Is Cruz for real?

Trump is good for a few laughs. As much as I relish the thought of him telling somebody like John Kerry “you’re fired!” he will be President when monkeys fly out of my butt.

If the vote was today, I'd vote for Cruz.

Cruz has stood up to both parties on budget matters. As solicitor general before he was in the senate, he wrote the briefs for states' attorneys general that helped get the two worst gun bans in the country overturned.

Well, he seems authentic to me, and I can usually smell a weasely fake 100 yards away.

As for what he’s done, he was an Ivy League guy, a world class debater, and editor of the Harvard Law Review. He clerked for Chief Justice Rehnquist, and went on to work in Dubya’s administration in a few positions, and then was Solicitor General of Texas.

I can’t say he’s accomplish anything spectacular in the Senate, but nobody in the Senate is accomplishing anything good lately. At least Cruz has been trying, but one senator can’t do anything if his own party is opposing him.

Someone from Texas is asking this question? That strikes me as odd, at best.

But if you are serious, then start with a look at Wikipedia:

Texas Solicitor General[ Appointed to the office of Solicitor General of Texas by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, Cruz served in that position from 2003 to 2008. The office had been established in 1999 to handle appeals involving the state, but Abbott hired Cruz with the idea that Cruz would take a "leadership role in the United States in articulating a vision of strict construction." As Solicitor General, Cruz argued before the Supreme Court nine times, winning five cases and losing four.

The fact that he’s willing to come out and speak openly about the filth of DC tells me he isn’t dirty.

That alone means a great deal.

I know he successfully argued against the Bush justice department in favor of executing an illegal alien murderer. The justice department was pressuring Texas to give the guy a life sentence on behalf of Mexico.

Politics is like business. Politicians are individual companies. They each cater to their clients/constituents. Ted Cruz is like a promising startup with a great pitch and a fantastic plan. Will he be like Reagan, the most ideal company in this analogy? We will only know after he has establishes his business and grows. Until then, we can only guess.

Trump, in this analogy, is like a really successful stripclub. Can’t argue against him logically, but, man, is the egomaniac toxic.

Yeah, and Abbott is all about flipping the DCers the long finger. He ain’t perfect either, but I’m a fan. So far.

Yeah, as a Texan, it must seem odd for me to post up this. I’m really not depressed or anything, they want money (more money) and I’m going to have to find a way to make that fit in my (our) budget.

So, part of my postulations are about whether to go all in or not. You know?

He has a pretty impressive resume. Here are some highlights:

He was the national debate champion in 1992 as an undergrad.

He was the primary editor of the Harvard Law Review in law school.

He clerked for William Rehnquist when he was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

He was on the staff that represented Bush before the Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore in 2000.

He was a long serving Solicitor General in Texas and has argued 9 times before the U.S. Supreme Court,

He drafted the amicus brief in District of Columbia v. Heller.

Listen to him speak. He has the ability to win any discussion, or debate he’s involved in.

See this:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3315812/posts

He has acted or tried to on every issue he ran on. He’s still only one man, and the leadership, and the media have ignored him in the Senate.

He is brilliant enough to have had the Debate Club at Harvard renamed after him.

He is slowly rising in the polls for a reason. He’s a true conservative. One of the few I have seen or heard since Reagan.
