But if you are serious, then start with a look at Wikipedia:
Texas Solicitor General[ Appointed to the office of Solicitor General of Texas by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, Cruz served in that position from 2003 to 2008. The office had been established in 1999 to handle appeals involving the state, but Abbott hired Cruz with the idea that Cruz would take a "leadership role in the United States in articulating a vision of strict construction." As Solicitor General, Cruz argued before the Supreme Court nine times, winning five cases and losing four.
Yeah, and Abbott is all about flipping the DCers the long finger. He ain’t perfect either, but I’m a fan. So far.
Yeah, as a Texan, it must seem odd for me to post up this. I’m really not depressed or anything, they want money (more money) and I’m going to have to find a way to make that fit in my (our) budget.
So, part of my postulations are about whether to go all in or not. You know?
“Stict Constructionism” is a term used by ignoramuses who mean “Originalism.”
The other accomplishment for Cruz is the number of times he has appeared before the Supreme Court and WON his case (I believe his record stands at 9).
Ted Cruz was also the person who represented Candidate Bush in the Bush v. Gore recount in 2000. It was Ted’s brilliance and knowledge of the Constitution that won the election for Bush.
I have always believed this fact (the 2000 election win) is the reason why the LEFT hates Cruz.
