The swarm of bugs was picked up by the radar systems of the National Weather Service of Norman, Oklahoma.

SNIP

Rangers at Copper Breaks State Park in Quanah, Texas — a town on the Red River, which divides Texas and Oklahoma — confirmed the swarm was made up of grasshoppers and beetles.

I was flying a Comanche 250 at 7500’ near Dallas a few years ago. Watched while a single grasshopper came through the prop arc and smashed into the front windshield and left a long yellow smear. LOL It was weird.

What kind of shot is best to use on bug swarms? I may need to upgrade from a pump shotgun to semi-auto Saiga with a drum mag!
