"...and if you poured whiskey on it He could eat a bale of hay."
Does this mean McDs is going to come out with a McBacon flavored milkshake?
Oh goody!
We can package it, and sell it to all those Japanese that live near Fukushima!
We can package it, put a kosher label on it, and send it to all these &^&^%$# mosques that are popping up like snakes in my country .... of course, send it at ‘book rate’, it IS summer, no?
“How do you specifically know a vegetable is heirloom or not?”
Basically, you can tell after the seed sprouts, if it does. Then the plant and fruit will be smaller, unless it succumbs to disease. If the plant does survive and produce fruit; i.e. tomato, it will typically be more flavorful then a tough skinned hybrid.
Thanks! Funny......waiting until it sprouts reminds me of the movie with Robert Duval and Michael Caine - “Secondhand Lions”. A funny sequence where a seed salesman comes through and sells them all kinds of seeds from the truck of his car for the ultimate garden.....they planted, marked the rows with labels, etc. It all came up corn. :0)
I believe we will have cracked immortality within 40 years. And I think I’m being conservative.
It’s one of the reasons I think the Lord’s return is imminent.
I had (standard) seaweed at a Japanese restaurant. It was delicious. (Surprising even me). :)
Unfortunately the guy who discovered it had a nervous breakdown and had to take some serious time off. This morning he and people in three other vehicles saw a car go sailing out there and crash, and he and four other men listened to the last words of the injured driver.
It says ‘’scientists’’. It was.
I always wonder if God is up there just laughing. ‘’Silly people’’ We don’t know half of what we think we do. One of these days, we’re going to find what TMI really means.
I had to look up TMI as I am an old fart. We do know much less than we think....but the knowledge and the technology we have discovered and built since Einstein figured out E=MC2 is truly amazing.....we have gone to the Moon for goodness sake. But you are correct....we know little of the completeness of all knowledge
Sorry. (I know what you mean. I’m no baby, either) It’s really mind boggling to look back even half my life ago. Sometimes, I think it isn’t worth what we’ve traded for it, culturally. (I’d have been content to live in the 60s & early 70s forever.)
We are Blessed with such a beautiful world.
” a popular genetic engineering technique was to expose seeds to radiation.”
I had Atomic Peanuts in the early Fifties
