I didn’t know that!!! I like Walsh (the musician) but wouldn’t hang out with him.

He's mellowed 1000% and off the juice and drugs. His Eagles days were wild and afterward came a crash. He said one night he woke up on a plane too Paris and no idea how he even got on the plane. That brought him to a turnaround point. He talked about it on a show called Guitar Sessions.

Anyway you look at it, Revolution #9 is a bad trip when you are on acid.

Paul McCartney had a song in the mid 1970s called "Listen to What The Man Said."

That was a pretty good song. Wasn't it? Especially the saxophone part.

I think those commenting on John Lennon post Beatles are forgetting, or unaware, that he was a huge alcoholic/ womanizer for years and that he had just returned to Yoko and started to get himself in order when he was shot.

So that may explain why he doesn’t have as many hits after leaving the Beatles.

The Beatles were simply fantastic. Sad they broke up.

Yes Paul is foolish to say that stuff but it sounds honest.

It Don't Come Easy is the best post Beatles tune. Now ... who actually wrote it?

Yes, you could.

That doesn't mean they were any good.

Tax Man was a protest against confiscatory tax rates on those who were successful.

And I have seen 60s liberals who STILL get irate when they hear that song.

Right, I realize that. The question was whether Lennon owned the lyrics or repudiated them.

"John did this, John did that. I mean, if you just pull out all his great stuff and then stack it up against my not-so-great stuff, it’s an easy case to make.”

Oh shut up, Bill. LOL!

John Lennon chewed gum while singing. He made a lot of money off McCartney’s talent.

Ringo is the only who looks like it would be fun to hang out with. He is probably home thanking whatever God he believes in for the opportunity to ride that wave.

Yep, and thanking that God that Pete Best was removed so he could get the drummer spot...:^)

John could have been great, post Beatles, the way McCartney was if he didn’t spend over ten years whining about his mummy.

And John’s “great” song “Imagine” is really just a very pretty anthem to Communism.

I thought he publicly repudiated the lyrics to Tax Man and Revolution

Tax Man was George's song.
