'It is one of the most hi-tech cars ever created - and you'll need to go on a course to learn how to drive it, even if you can afford the $2.3m pricetag.
Aston Martin Vulcan showed off its track only 'hypercar' at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
It features a hi-tech dashboard and smart steering wheel from which almost everything can be controlled.'

LOL
That looks like what a Corvette should have looked like 20 years ago.
I am getting old and very hard to impress.
How much fire wood and cattle feed can you carry in that thing? And who wants to lay on the ground to drive?
LOL
One of my fav British character actors there, me old boy. The always great Lionel Jeffries.
“Track-only”. Not many railroad tracks or steep driveways on racetracks.
If I can’t put 24 120 lb three string bales of hay in the back I’m not interested
Through the '90s and first decade of the 21st century the Corvette had very blah styling. It was just a straight and boxy wedge shape. Sort of utilitarian, generic and boring looking to my taste. Go figure, it came out of GM during that time. However I have to say the current generation looks very cool! They've really upped their game.
When an F1 driver hits the tire wall then pulls off the steering wheel, gets out and throws the wheel on the ground in a rage, it’s a rather expensive tantrum. I think those hi-tech steering wheels go for about $40k.
My 2007 Z06 does 3.5 0 to 60 and 198 MPH (factory spec, I have never gone over 171) And I bought it with 1340 miles for 44,000. so for the other 2.25 million I get a nifty steering wheel? If I was in that world I would be talking to the Pagani people......
Look at this picture. Lotus 7 super-imposed over a Cobra Coupe. Who inspired who, it doesn't matter. Sports-Car DNA is what it is. We have been trying too hard to do something different. You could have a heck of a lotta fun for a lot less w/ a Caterham or a Factory 5 Coupe or other Coupe Clone.
How are they going to figure out how to make it leak oil?
They hired some guys from Harley-Davidson.
Yeah, I don’t get it either. Wouldn’t he Bugatti Veyron actually be less expensive?
Also, notice how the brit paper couldn’t even wait ‘till after the headline to interject james bond into the story. lol
Or, for $16,000 get the fastest and easiest to ride Super Bike, the BMW S1000RR.
[ The molecular bonded shell might be in the next version. ]
I am just gonna wait for the GP products body panel....
Normal British manufacturing processes?
I'm with you - took the wife to the movies yesterday and parked so far out that we almost needed to call a taxi to get across the parking lot - trying to keep it pristine even though I know that eventually some idiot will put a ding in it. If we get the wife one (she now drives a RAV4) we'll both be going nuts worrying about the paint.
Wow! I could trade one of those steering wheels for another new car.
