LONDON, - On Saturday, CNN ran an entire segment on the possible sighting of an Islamic State flag at a pride parade in London.
"Just in: ISIS flag spotted at gay pride parade," read a banner stretching across the bottom of the news channel's TV feed as cameras repeatedly panned and zoomed in on what turned out to be a flag featuring crude drawings of sex toys.
"ISIS flag amongst a sea of rainbow colours was spotted by a CNN international assignment editor," CNN's anchor said.
The flag was apparently spotted by CNN International reporter Lucy Pawle, who joined the segment via phone to talk about her startling discovery.
"This man dressed in black and white was waving what appears to be a very bad mimicry, but a clear attempt to mimic, the ISIS flag," Pawle said. "The black and white flag with the distinctive lettering."
Though Pawle seemed to grasp the inauthenticity of the flag, she failed to realize the humor in it and even reported it to nearby police.
"If you look at the flag closely, it's clearly not Arabic. In fact, it looks like it could be gobbledygook."
CNN's mistake quickly went viral, earning derision from a variety of online news sources. CNN has since removed the video from their website. Mediaite, however, posted a clip of the incident for posterity's sake.
Kinda surprising when you consider how knowledgeable they are about all things homosexual.
Cnn really doesn’t have much up above their shoulders but rock. I remember watching a report on Bulgarian & Romania a few yrs. ago. They had the countries on the map reversed while the bimbo announcer was pointing to Bucherest, the capitol of Bulgaria... Reeeeal smart!
I just hope they can take a joke.
Somebody ping ISIS and see what they think of their flag being parodied.
Perhaps they know not what kind of nastiness they have supported.
FYI to CNN, one side of the self-love sexual partnerships that just won legal status hasn’t the built-in means to even have intercourse. Their marriages REQUIRE a “third party” gadget.
Perhaps the reporter meant she saw an Islamic State fag?
Maybe they should have talked to anderson pooper and gotten his take on the flag.
I guess I am out of the loop, I don’t know what an ISIS flag OR sex toys look like.
May I say, it is a loop that I am happy to be out of, so don’t try to educate me.
Well, when your network boasts star power like Ashleigh Banfield (or Ashleigh Banshee, IMHO) or Wolf Blitzer’s sparkling performance on “Jeopardy”, I would not expect much intelligence or thoughtfulness from the folks at CNN.
ISIS will tell the queers to drop it.
Well actually...ISIS will drop the queers.
Off a building.
At the same time, I think if those who engage in homosexual acts WANT to fly a parody of the ISIS flag in their parades, they shouldn't be intimidated into not flying it because they fear some sort of violent reprisal.
I'm with the sodomites on this. Fly that flag, Sodomites! Fly it proudly!
Thanks (I guess).
LOL!
Yeah, they obviously modeled it after the ISIS flag in order to mock it, so I can’t blame someone who doesn’t read Arabic from making this mistake.
Where was Don Lemon and Anderson Pooper when they needed them?
CNN really does have a lot of idiots who are dumb. It’s like they give these people jobs based on politics, instead of based on how good and knowledgeable they are.
I remember one dumb woman talking about Iran and pointing to Brazil.
Does this mean they are making fun of ISIS?
So will ISIS now go and bomb some of these freak parades and will the homostapo step up to fight back with their nails and loud mouths or will they go and find a federal judge to ban muslims from getting near their freak parades.
Let these homosexuals go after muslims now and lets see what happens to them as the muslims won’t be taking orders from federal judges.
