(CBS) – About 1 million people are estimated to line the four-mile Pride Parade route through Lake View and Uptown this weekend.
Organizer Richard Pfeiffer in part responsible for keeping the parade safe. To help accomplish that, there will be “several hundred” police officers along the route, not to mention 90 off-duty officers, Pfeifer says.

This is ISIS’s greatest dream target. I bet that nobody who planned this event even thought of that, but in light of the ISIS/Jihadist massacre of civilian bathers on a Tunisian beach today (37 or more dead), I would think that skipping this LoveFest would be prudent, at least to a rational person.
I really hate Chicago. Got sick there in 1961 and suffered the effects of it for decades.
I'm not so sure about that.
People who are so feckless as to attend such a vile event -- will be unable and unwilling to resist the Caliphate.

You’re wrong, they will. I live in a western suburb of Chicago (the conservatives live primarily in the western burbs). There are HUGE turnouts each year for the Chicago Gay Pride Parade. When I was young and lived on the North side of the city, the very first Gay Pride Parade came right by the front window of the small Art Gallery store I worked in at that time, on Broadway, one of the streets they still go down to this day. Boy did I get a Birdseye view. The first parade was very small. Each year it got exponentially larger. Now it is gigantic. This year for the first time, it will be broadcast locally on ABC on TV. Isn’t that special.

No, he wasn’t. He was of Swedish heritage and a Socialist. Sandburg was in the Army for a while during the Spanish-American War and was later on probably the best known poet of his day, as well as an author famous for his major work on Abraham Lincoln. Married once, he and his wife had 3 children, all girls. He and his family lived for 11 years in Elmhurst, a western suburb of Chicago, that was the suburb I grew up in. I attended Carl SandbUrg Junior High school, and Carl came there one day to give a speech. Half the town showed up to hear him. It was a big event and the school auditorium was packed. He was pretty old then, but I was impressed. Of course at my young age, I had no idea what a Socialist was, lol.

Seattle has these freak fests also and tons of parents bring their children which is CHILD ABUSE!! One can only wonder what goes on in their HOMES!
And so it is written, we now have a new group claiming discrimination in all aspects of life due to thier affliction, color or gender.
Have you heard of a straight pride parade? If not, someone should organize one in Chicago.
