This is exactly why, when conservatives sit on the sideline awaiting the 100% pure candidate, we damage ourselves. Election have consequences and this is one - the ability to select Supreme Court Justices who will sit for life. Look at the ages of Obama's picks - 55 and 61. They are not going anywhere for years.
Abortion, gay marriage, assaults upon Christianity... and we dare to sing God Bless America. Why would he bless us when we spit in his eye.
How convenient! Neither do Conservatives. As long as we are part of the GOP as it governs now, we are part of the problem. Do I see an easy solution? No.

The so-called Spoiled Conservatives who sat home on Election Day in 2012 gave us Obama.... and they’re trying to do it again.

That’s a fact. And if they run Jeb or another lib, we won’t be voting for that lib either. So if you wish to avoid Hillary then get on the conservative bus because we proved we aren’t making empty threats.
While conservatives were sitting on their asses being the smartest people in the room, the left took over.
In the past 10 years, I’ve spent more time arguing with my fellow conservatives than anyone on the left.
Now we’re paying for it.
Is this really what you people wanted when you pushed so hard for a more moderate government?
Open borders.
High taxes.
Obamacare.
Elections negated.
The government not having to follow its own laws.
If I was a member of the American Left, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too. :)

If you could not see a difference between Obama and Romney, I feel sorry for you.
All depends on who is president when their terms are up, could be a bad thing.
The real problem is that social conservatism is a spent force in the political sense. You lose influence in the schools and the culture and you lose the future. That is clearly what has happened. It’s over. Now the totalitarian Left will begin moving on their most cherished objectives. Mark my words: within a decade we will be fighting a defensive war on the whole of the Bill of Rights. America’s youth have been too fully propagandized to even understand what they are carelessly discarding. They are literally throwing away the greatest engine of freedom and opportunity ever created. And when the suffering inevitably comes, they will not comprehend why.

For a supposedly ex military type your logic is sorely deficient.
There is no evidence statistically significant numbers of conservatives stayed home in 2012. None.
There are a few candidates who will make me sit on the sideline in 2016. Christie will never get my vote, nor will Jeb.
Nor will Toomey.
