House bill would force the Supreme Court to enroll in ObamaCare

A House Republican on Thursday proposed forcing the Supreme Court justices and their staff to enroll in ObamaCare.

Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) said that his SCOTUScare Act would make all nine justices and their employees join the national healthcare law’s exchanges.

“As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it’s important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people,” he said. “That’s why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for ObamaCare,” Babin said.

Babin’s potential legislation would only let the federal government provide healthcare to the Supreme Court and its staff via ObamaCare exchanges.

"Hey Babin! Go ahead and introduce that bill of yours! The flyovers'll love it - might even shut 'em up for a while!"

Good. Let those who vote for these things suffer under them as well. Something about the Constitution?

The SCOTUS might just as well have set fire to the Constitution.

Typical Republican publicity stunt.

You know what? When it comes to those six black-robed idiots who can't comprehend simple written English, I'm not above a little spite.

They rewrote the law. Now let them live it.

Don’t forget to include Congress...

I heard on Rush the other day that Congress made a big show of amending the law so that they and their staffs were covered by Obamacare only to finagle a way to register as a small business in the District of Columbia. In other words, they are eligible for subsidies paid for by the taxpayer! This took place when the Dems were still in control of Congress, but I bet no effort has been made to change it. If true (and I have no reason to think that it is not true), it is absolutely disgraceful!!

Only the Republicans would think that expanding the number of people on Obamacare would be some sort of meaningful protest about how they oppose Obamacare.

Frickin' retards.

A symbolic gesture meant to appease the conservatives. Sorry, not buying.

"House bill would force the Supreme Court to enroll in ObamaCare"

It might be hard to keep sitting Supreme Court Justices sitting after obamacare gets shoved up where it belongs.

Now that is the best news I have heard this entire rotten news day.

It will never happen, now way it will. Obamacare for thee but not for me will be the attitude Congress, but Im glad Rep. Brian Babin is going to throw it out there.

In a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” I don’t get how the members of that government can exempt themselves from the laws they make. ----- “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” ― George Orwell, Animal Farm “No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?” ― George Orwell, Animal Farm “This work was strictly voluntary, but any animal who absented himself from it would have his rations reduced by half.” ― George Orwell, Animal Farm

This won’t happen. Oh I wish it would, but the Supremes would rule that it’s unconstitutional for the gov’t to tell them what they have to do. They are above the law.

“The people who play a part in America’s demise will be given all they desire. The world is their oyster.

How long it will last for them is another question.”

It lasted quite a while in the Soviet Union and is still well and alive in Communist Red China.
